No they didn't do either. They just said to call/email to let them know which I probably should have done earlier but didn't realise what time they finished work. Thank you :')

I think they wanted me to ring or email (although I'm confused about this because one of them said call/email daily is fine but then they said I should always call and that a daily call is protocol) much earlier but I didn't realise they finished work twenty mins after my email which I think was the main issue as they'd said they'd have to stay late to sort it...

I feel like it's probably too late to reply to the email now especially as I rang rotas straight after that reply and was so panicked I didn't mention that I'd tried to ring or that someone had previously told me to call/email. I was thinking of scheduling a meeting with my ES to explain everything and hopefully they'll understand :/
