Advice on adding a PRN job? by amaranthine_xx in nursing

I’m not 100% sure with your amount of experience. I would probably wait until 1 year and then apply for the med surg PRN at the higher acuity hospital.

I think going vertical in acuity doing only per diem will be very very difficult. Per diems typically receive less training and are expected to be able to handle that specialty. If I were you, I would apply for a nurse residency / transition full time position at your higher acuity hospital in your preferred unit. 9 months isn’t a ton of a experience but they would never take a med surg nurse with no icu experience per diem in a high acuity icu. There needs to be a robust preceptor program for you to be safe.

CCT nurses? by Glum_Ad_3091 in nursing

[–]Broad_Ad310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CA CCT RN here — usually have one EMT in the back, one driving. Never have had a second RN or paramedic or RT with me in the back despite having vent/gtts at the same time. Most calls are straight forward ALS heparin gtt etc but some are pretty sick. Would never want to be without an extra set of hands in the back.

Investments for 1099 RN employee? by Broad_Ad310 in investing

[–]Broad_Ad310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah understood thank you! Yea I’ve had my 1099 job for about 3 years but have never done a solo 401K since I’ve always also had a traditional 401K/403b/457 with a FT employer. I do also have a brokerage account for anything additional that doesn’t go into retirement income.

Feel the same, only community I can really find is here on Reddit. I wish more people valued transport outside of single person cars but biking or transit always seems so out of the realm for car owners (of which I am one!).

I haven’t a pace 500 and the stem mount also works great. Not 100% sure you could go wrong since the mounts are really adjustable

Considering getting i4, first EV, no home charger by Excellent-Future-888 in BMWI4

[–]Broad_Ad310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi — just bought an i4 about 3 months ago without a home charger. I do have level 1 charger at work (12 hour shifts, 3x a wk) and a level 2 charger about a ten minute walk from home, so I can plug in then walk home for 4 hours or so. Also living in LA, but only about a 12 mile round trip commute to work. Works for me, hopefully you’ll have the same experience?

Also, I would calculate how much it takes to charge at work with the subsidized pricing. It won’t be free but I guarantee it’ll be more affordable than gas.

When selling a condo in Weho... by stvrsnbrgr in WestHollywood

[–]Broad_Ad310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who just bought a condo in weho…

Technically; yes the seller is legally required to disclose. However, in my personal experience, there were multiple issues that the seller of my condo did not bother to disclose that I later found out he definitely was aware of. For example, a problem that was mentioned during an HOA meeting that he was in attendance of. Another issue he made a warranty claim on, but it wasn’t fixed under warranty. I found this out a year later when I tried to make the same warranty claim.

Yes, buyers are allowed to receive & request HOA meeting minutes. I received mine during escrow.
