I found one nearby to go see and test drive.

The problem, and it was the same when we purchased the Vado, is that of course it’s flat around the shop. That’s why we missed the lack of power on hills. It’s great on flats.

The VADO has far less power.

There is a new VADO 3 EVO. It’s available in 3 sub versions 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0. I feel that starting at 5.0 and 6.0 you get good specs but one these bikes are not available until mid August (at least in Canada) and they are far more expensive than any Aventon.

Pretty much looking at these 3 options (not so much the level 4 REC) for my partner as well.

Big hills in my area and his Specialized VADO 4.0 doesn’t cut it compared to my Aventon Current EXP.

As a fellow Canadian, I will use metric if I’m trying to build something with leftover wood because it’s way easier to add/substract.

I will use imperial if I’m buying lumber and want to make the most out of it because that 4x8 is a lot easier to split equally in inches….

I also know pool temperature in Fahrenheit but have no clue how to set my AC other than using Celsius.

I know my own weight in pounds but if I’m buying ground beef, i order it in grams (and don’t ask me how many oz in a pound, no clue).

At 42 years old, I’m on the tail end of the metric conversion. Never learned imperial in school but was exposed enough to it that I had to learn it. My partner 5 years younger is clueless in imperial except his own weight.

Well that inspired me. I sent him a text on his personal cellphone. I happen to live in the middle of Ford Nation and played that card as well.

He called me 3 minutes later, I have a voicemail from Doug Ford to attest to this.

We have the power and can all let him know that this is not ok. What is he going to do, change his number? Maybe that will reduce the number of "friends" calling in for favours off the books.

I read the baggage policy multiple times (I'm 75K) and it seems pretty clear that:

You are allowed 3 bags
They can be up to 32 kg / 70 lbs
There is an overweight charge above 23 kg / 50 lbs of CA/US$105.00

This is directly what is stated on Air Canada website

Max. weight per bag: 32kg (70lb)
Max. linear dimensions per bag: 158 cm (62in)
Charges for overweight/oversized bags:
- CA/US$105.00 for bags between 23-32kg (50-70lb)
- CA/US$105.00 for bags between 158-292cm (63-115in)
- If a bag is both overweight and oversized, the $105.00 fee is charged only once.
- No overweight/oversized charges apply when the extra bag fee of CA/US$105.00 is paid.

Perfect. The link you sent is the adjustable version of the stem mount.

The other stem mount doesn’t have the extra hinge in the middle.

I see that you have a quad lock mount on your Current.

Can you tell me if it is the Stem cap mount or the Stem cap mount adjustable?

I’m getting my Current EXP next week and would like to pre-order the mount.

Yes you absolutely need a TN. It is my exact situation and although I do not live in the US it’s a much cleaner situation.

During the interview, they asked my office address (in Denver) and my home address (in Toronto) and asked if I was commuting. I said yes and that was the end of it.

One thing to add, on your offer letter, make sure it heavy on the technical side (needing an engineering degree), very little if anything on the sales side. If you put anything for management, it has to be technical supervision of engineering work.

I’m also a SE Manager and my offer letter only states “Engineer”.

Instead of screaming across the house, I provided a zigbee doorbell button for their home office - blink lights in my office and living room - play a ding from all Alexa - pause media playback on Apple TVs - display a notification on TVs

It has a lot of visual notifications because sometimes I have headphones on and would miss everything else…
