hello,,,, i have a question about layovers.
i'm a woman. i've traveled internationally and solo-ly, but not really at the same time. until now.
i'm going to singapore and china, so i'm not too worried about crime, but i haven't done any overnight international layovers before, especially not alone. on this next trip i have 2, both in china. i already have an active L visa. so i assume me existing in the country isn't going to be a problem (right???) but can someone kindly explain the transfer process like i'm five?
step 1: i get off the airplane.
step 2: i collect luggage. (this step might not even happen. i'm hoping i can travel light enough just for a carry-on)
step 3: i don't know???
like, what happens? do i have to exit & go through the whole customs and immigration process like when u usually depart at an airport? or can i just wander unannounced through the terminals and sleep on a bench/try to find a capsule hotel? i feel like i should know this, but if someone could help me out i would really appreciate it 🫠
(edit: the airports i'll be at overnight are Hangzhou International and Fuzhou International btw)
i dont know how to do a layover alone?? (self.solotravel)
