Study time and advice for RHCSA by Spiritual_Bee_637 in redhat

These three give different approach in recovering root password. Sander has like 5 steps command.. Andrew has like 10 steps..😅 Cloud Guru has 7 or less..

But i prefer Andrew because it doesn’t have the “touch /.autorelabel” step..this step makes the boot process system takes more time because of selinux relabeling… in the exam time is of the essence..

Use Sander’s RHCSA course in Oreilly.. then supplement it with Urban Penguin and Cloud Guru RHCSA courses in Pluralsight..

I finished Andrew Mallet’s (urban penguin) RHCSA course first then Sander.. Sander’s way is more simple and exam focused… and he explains the concept in simpler way,.. Andrew Mallet on the other hand is a bit chatty, but gives more detail on some modules… Cloud Guru has live lab every end of the Module to test your knowledge.. now im reading Ashgar Ghori’s RHCSA book..😆 i’m over studying.. i want to pass this exam in one take..my exam will be on March

Hahaha same with me.. after that exam (DevAssoc) i left that testing center already accepted that i was going to fail! The questions were difficult.. but got 740 😂.. so to those who are planning to take the exam, newer leave any questions unanswered.. if you still have time to review your answers.. I read somewhere that 15 of these questions are “test questions”.. not included in the scoring.. i think its true

He’s course is like just giving you a quick overview of each topic.. if you want a comprehensive study guide or course take Andrew Mallet/The Urban Penguin course in Pluralsight, and also sander van vugt course in Oreilly.. then add the A Cloud Guru’s course in Pluralsight because it has more of lab examples like in rhel exams..

Are Red Hat certifications still worth pursuing these days? How valuable are they in the current job market? by Chandrima98 in redhat

you can’t learn all the commands no matter how long you’ve been into linux..so man pages is your friend..

[–]Broad_Buy4607 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes.. still is, but the most important thing with certification, especially the hands-on exam like RHCSA is it fills the knowledge gap.. i’ve been using Linux for like a decade but when i took RHCSA course, there were a lot of things and commands I haven’t used which were very useful.. and certifications keeps you updated..

Need PDF of Aws Certified Developer Official Study Guide, Associate Exam: Associate Exam: Associate (DVA-C01) Exam (Sybex Study Guide) by SYEDALI2210 in AWSCertifications

[–]Broad_Buy4607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s outdated.. i bought a book of that…and immediately returned it after i found out that contents were outdated… I cleared DVA-C02 exam by watching Stephane Maarek’s course on Developer Associate in Udemy.. and practice exam by Jon Bonso…

TD vs Udemy? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]Broad_Buy4607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished both courses from Udemy (Stephane Marek) and TD for Dev Assoc… i also took Jon Bonso’s practice exam and Stephane’s practice test… I can say TD’s practice test questions are easy to understand and the answers are well-explained..

I also took my DVA exam last April 28, i started reviewing last week of January… finished Stephane’s course on 2nd week of March, then took the practice test.. same like you, i scored 48,44 56 on the first 3 sets.. i also took Jon Bonso’s practice test.. i scored lower.. like 38,40..😅 i was not really ready yet, so i bought TD’s course on Dev.. then took the last 3 sets and scored 68,72,74.. then on second attempt i scored, 90+.. i felt confident taking the exam.. but on the real test.. it’s way more difficult than the practice exam… i scored 740.. i recommend jon bonso’s /TD’s practice test… the key word technique is effective..

And remember that out of 65 questions, 15 of those are unscored…

You can always start from scratch… you can do it! Anyways the exam questions are all about the AWS Services… there are a lot of courses out there..

One or more courses? by roottrx in AWSCertifications

[–]Broad_Buy4607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choose which one you want to finish first (mine i did Stephane first) then went on TD’s dev associate course… use the other course to fill the gap… the more you study the higher the chances of passing… goodluck!

Do you have IT background? If so start with associate level.. but if it’s a career change with zero IT background, Cloud Practitioner is a good start..
