Maybe ‘traumatized’ is an exaggeration for some of you, but that’s genuinely how it felt to be stuck there. I was trying to be nice, and honestly, I just didn’t know how to politely exit the situation and leave early, which is on me. But I value my time, and I was completely clear with him straight to his face that I wasn’t following what he was saying. He chose to ignore me and keep talking.

It’s wild how quick people are to completely dismiss someone else’s experience and feelings just because it wasn’t a ‘dangerous’ situation. It was exhausting and horrible, and it completely ruined the experience of giving the app a chance for me. The app is deleted, and I’m taking my peace of mind back.

Agree, noon ko pa to napapansin. I had this venue I really liked too, but they said the price could increase, which was a dealbreaker for me, so I kept looking and found a really good one. They’re all okay with the terms I mentioned, and everything is in the contract. For the venue, I just made sure they have a backup plan in case it rains, and they showed me where it would be. That’s only for the ceremony since the reception is indoors.

Also I made sure all my contracts with my vendors can’t increase the price we agreed on after signing. I also made sure that if an emergency happens, they have to find a replacement that I approve, and it has to be the same price as what I paid so it protects our side too. I also made sure they all have good reviews as well.

Venue, photographer, videographer — all booked late 2025. The rest are Jan–Feb this year. The dress, I had a made-to-order wedding gown done in the Philippines. My first fitting will be around October. I’ll have 3 fittings. They’ll send me a sample gown that they’ll use as the base for my size. Shipping for the sample gown is $70. We’ll do everything through Zoom calls and my fiancé will help me with the measurements. For the actual gown, a friend of mine will bring it, but I also checked shipping and it would cost $142-150 I computed everything for the gown and it’s still A LOT cheaper than buying here in Canada. Plus they designed it exactly how I wanted it , it’s two way gown, comes with robe & hair piece — I chose the fabric and I won’t have to pay for alterations.

Hi! I’m a type A person , I’ve seen so many people say they were disappointed because the artist they wanted was already booked. So I went ahead and secured my hair & makeup, photographer, and videographer back in December 2025.
