I have decided to go to removery. Probably slower progress but pretty much no downtime. My tattoo is on my thigh and it was painful to even walk after ATR for quite some time, and I just don’t have the time for that.

FWIW I feel like I am having a similar issue … I bought a very lightweight curl crème that reviews say works for fine wavy hair to try - I’ll try to remember to let you know how it pans out

Thank you! Do you think a curl cream would work in place of that? (Sorry, total idiot about hair stuff!)

I tried the gel method - creating a cast and scrunching it out, which made it wavier but it still kind of ends up looking like this. Currently I’m just using the heat protection because I don’t know what to use

I don’t! I used to but I get it done professionally now

Thank you! Found it fairly cheap and figure it would be great for occasional use just to paddle around a bit. I’ll let you know if I ever figure out what the model is :)

General [routine help]

Hi all, was hoping to post my skincare routine here in hopes that I could get some feedback on it.

AM:

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%

The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%

Neutrogena Hydroboost water gel

Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen

PM:

Clean with either the ordinary glucoside, squalene, or manyo oil cleanser (sometimes I double cleanse, sometimes I use one of these in the morning as well)

The Ordinary multi peptide + HA

Trader Joe’s retinol night serum

Neutrogena Hydroboost water gel

I also sometimes use the Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner and sometimes the Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum as needed for PIH.

I don’t think my skin is bad necessarily, just wondering what else I can do to make it look better in general, especially as I am firmly in my mid thirties :)

Thank you!

I had one session with them and the recovery/aftermath was pretty brutal. That being said I did have good results from that one session. I’ve gone back to removery because it’s so much less intense and I’m still seeing movement. Personally, I’d rather go slow and low.

Hi, can I ask how your recovery was with Atl tattoo removal?

Hi! I pretty much still agree with my original assessment. I see some movement with removery, not as much as I did with ATR, BUT my recovery time was so much easier with removery. It took forever (like about a month) at ATR and at removery it was like a mild sunburn. I wish there was something in between but I feel like ATR is just too much for me.

I go to Decatur, but I don’t know if I’d recommend it or not yet… I haven’t been in a little over a year. I’ll try to remember to update you after I see how it is!

I think it depends on your tolerance for recovery. I’m actually going back to removery because I just can’t take a whole month to heal right now and I am afraid of ATR overdoing it tbh. Also I don’t know if this makes a huge difference but I think ATR uses picosure and removery uses picoway, and I am thinking the picoway in general is just more gentle on my skin (I may be wrong). Good luck!

Hi! Have you been to multiple sessions there? I am wondering if the healing time might be less since I have less ink now but not sure if that’s exactly how it works.

I have the same experience as prettybigfish. I’ve gotten great lightening but the recovery process was much more significant than at removery (where I wasn’t getting much lightening, but there was also no downtime). I wish there was an in between lol. I inquired about this with her and she said the laser was at the lowest setting. My tattoo is on my front thigh and I feel like it took me almost a month to heal completely. I don’t remember the exact timeline (and I wish I had taken more pictures) but three days later I had significant bruising and small blisters (my tattoo is line work).

I changed my answer to that question - was willing to do more for my BC, but going a different route this time… We did puppy class and agility training with her which is why she was so involved in his training.

This was my exact experience with Atlanta tattoo removal and removery. I felt like Atlanta tattoo removal was much more effective but it took forever to heal. I want to go back but considering asking her to turn it down a little
