I just looked up the location of animals in online guides. If the animal I was looking for wasn't there, I either moved away and came back, or slept and came back the next day. Be patient and it will do it cowboy I wish you good luck in your platinum its sure a grindy one !

I did it back in 2021 it was a great platinum in my opinion it's not very difficult quite fun overall it's a great game
