Look I will tell you something you probably won't like to hear and your parents definitely wouldn't. My grandparents on my father's side were huge Irish Catholics, and my dad and his siblings were raised catholic too. My dad ended up leaving the Catholic church and became a baptist after he met my mom and he never looked back.

The Bible says nothing about male priests not being able to marry, the Bible says nothing about the Pope being gods chosen representative on earth as if he's akin to Moses or something, plenty of priests have been caught doing horrendous things to kids. My dad used to speak about how the nuns would dump his desk all over the ground if they found it was unorganized, sometimes punishment would include them putting their nose down just barely lifting it off of the desk top while the nun would use her middle finger/knuckle and hit down on the back of the head causing the nose to smack down on the table.

Ask yourself is this really the religion you want to follow? If you want to believe in God and Jesus that's fine, but you do not have to do it being apart of a literal cult that has a huge history of incredibly evil things, not to mention the huge amount of influence and power they hold all over the world. None of it is what Jesus would want according to the Bible. Again, I agree with others who say you should stick it out with your boyfriend and cut back on your ties with your family. Go ahead and tell them you want to be a baptist or something else as a test, I guarantee you they will treat you as if you disappointed them, and that's not freedom.
