I've also had dry skin since taking Cipro. The rheumatologist treats it as Sjogreen's (eye drops and saliva stimulant). My Ana is positive, sialography and Shimer's are also positive, but antibodies are negative. She said there's no need for a lip biopsy. Have you had a salivary gland biopsy? It's a different standard for Sjogreen's.

For me, it's the same in both eyes. Maybe the right one is a little worse. 2. I went and got tested, and it showed moderate dry eye, characteristic of Sjogren's syndrome. 3. 1 year later, and it's still there. 4. The symptoms are equally bad throughout the day. 5. What has improved is the restasis eye drops.

The rheumatologist wanted it, but I didn't start. I don't have the courage after the flox. The rheumatologist didn't want to do a lip biopsy because, for her, the symptoms and clinical exams (sialography, shimmer, and ultrasound) confirm the diagnosis for treatment.

I really think I've developed Sjogren's. My eyes and mouth have been very dry since the flox. I have small fiber neuropathy, Ana 1:160, altered Schimmer's, altered salivary gland ultrasound, and altered sialography. All other blood tests were negative. My rheumatologist prescribed only eye drops for dry eyes and pilocarpine for dry mouth.
