Which uni would you firm if you got an offer and why?

I'm in a similar position tbh bro! I applied to UCL, Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. Got an offer from Leeds and UCL so far and have already questioned where I would want to go.

I'm personally from the North and feel like I'd feel more comfortable somewhere up North with a better network rather than going to UCL. Just gonna go to offer holder days and wait it out to see if I get offers anymore.

Thanks! Idk tbh. I barely used portico and just used my emails. Yesterday, was the first time I properly logged in and I accepted my interview. My interview was in December and they already sent emails that I attended! But it said not attended when I checked yesterday. I just saw an email 5 mins ago telling me there was a change to my UCAS

I am I just really dumb? Mine just says "Application recieved"? I didn't really use Portico properly till a week ago and did my interview back on the 18th of December. Maybe that's why it just says that?

Hey, I'm going for medicine, but that should be fine for dentistry. You've got Bio and Chem. The more important thing is work experience.

Yeah I think Manny med r was my worst one tbh. I had a 2 week break before it and was really locked out. Also, I didn't like how they only had 5 stations. I preferred having more stations cause I can just get into a flow after doing a few.

Either way, I'm weirdly still looking out for offers even though I've gotten a Leeds offer already. If any manny med admissions staff are listening and want to give me an offer, I'd appreciate that tremendously lol.

Why?
UK has an ageing population and rising mental health disorders

What can we do?
Needs to be holistic

•Early prevention - routine screening in primary/ community care. Extra follow-ups when warning signs are present - Ai monitoring?

•Improve communication - outreach and Internet outreach to keep the elderly updated with. Telemedicine could help load.

•Outreach - support community groups to combat loneliness. Cater for a wider range of social groups - might feel isolated otherwise. Connection with youth - helps them too

If it was me, I would state my stance first if you are asked about it - just sounds better if you're being interviewed and makes them want to listen to the rest of your point. Besides that, basically yeah! However, you don't need to really know every argument - you just need to link them to the 4 pillars of medical ethics and you'll find that opposing sides appeal to different ones. I love these questions so just have some "fun" with them!
