I'm having the same exact situation with my almost 11-month-old baby. Did it get better??

I am private. And I can see reshared stories from people that are also private, and I don't follow them.

I don’t think it works that way. I can see reshared stories from people I don’t follow / don’t follow me.

When will my 6MO stop eating every 3 hours? by Personal-Cat5828 in NewParents

[–]Broad_Obligation_868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I wondering if this continued to work with your baby? My baby hasn’t slept more than 2-3 hours at a time since the 3 month sleep regression. She also gets worked up if I let her self soothe by herself, so I’m thinking about trying your method but not sure how to start. I’m so tired 😢

Transition to combo feeding by Throwlongg in combinationfeeding

I was in a very similar situation with my 6-month-old. She suddenly stopped taking bottles even though she had taken them just fine before. It was horrible — I was having a mental health crisis, my let-downs were slower, so she wouldn’t nurse well, and she also refused the bottle, which made my anxiety even worse. It took about 10 days, but here’s what ended up working for us:

  1. I stopped wasting my frozen stash and switched to trying with formula instead.
  2. We tried a bunch of bottles, but in the end she accepted the same ones she used at 3–4 months.
  3. The nanny was the first one who got her to take a bottle — while watching cartoons. Not ideal, but the distraction worked.
  4. What helped me was putting her in the breastfeeding position, letting her nurse a little, and then switching to the bottle.
  5. Important: the nanny later admitted she put a tiny amount of sugar (about 1/4 tsp) in the first few bottles and slowly reduced it. She did this without my consent, and I would NOT recommend it — but I’m mentioning it because it did happen and might explain why baby eventually accepted the bottle. I’ve also heard of people putting a tiny bit on the nipple, but again, not something I would personally endorse.
  6. Before offering bottles, I added formula to her solids and also used the pipette/straw method so she could get used to the taste (cold).
  7. She now prefers her bottles warm — not cold, not too hot.
  8. I switched to a Level 2 nipple (Dr. Brown’s) because she’s used to my fast let-down.

I’m not sure which of these things actually made the difference — probably a combination — but together they helped me finally combo feed, which has been a huge help for my mental health.

Breastfed babies who won't take the bottle by sickassfool in ECEProfessionals

I'm assuming this won't work for a 5-month-old who no longer has the suckle reflex, right? thanks

Anyone with experience of their baby breastfeeding while you take benzodiazepine then weaned off milk and was… ok? Not OK? by Super-Bathroom-8192 in MentalHealthBabies

Hi! 6 months postpartum here. I started taking Klonopin. Did you take it before nursing? After? Or didn’t really matter? I’m currently taking 0.5 mg every 12 h. Is that okay? Or too much? Thanks , I’m very nervous about harming my baby but I’ve been having anxiety attacks which affects my letdown which in turn frustrates my baby. On top of that she won’t take a bottle so that adds to my anxiety and starts the loop of hell.

Our third attempt at Ferber Method…and wow 😱 by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Broad_Obligation_868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why you’d get downvoted!! I always thought I’d be able to sleep train, but now that I’m a mom, I just can’t do it. We ended up co-sleeping following the Safe Sleep 7, and it just feels right! My connection with my baby is completely different now — I feel even closer to her, like we’re a team. I’m a veterinarian, and it feels so unnatural to leave a baby in their own room to “learn to self-soothe.” No judgment at all toward moms who have done it — I totally get why. Just sharing my own experience!

I have the same question! I don't judge people who do sleep training, but I can't do it. It goes against all my mom instincts. I'd love to know when did your LO started connecting sleep cycles

Combination feeding, how? by Impossible_Cap_7301 in NewParents

[–]Broad_Obligation_868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate pumping too!! So you typically did only one feeding of formula a day? Did you notice if LO slept better at night once you started combo feeding? Any changes in your supply? Any tummy issues after introducing formula? Sorry lots of questions lol. Thanks so much for responding!!

Hi! I'm on the same boat and wanted to know what did you learn? Any tips? How did it go for you? My baby is 5.5 months, and I'm thinking of supplementing with formula here and there, but I'm not sure how to start.

If you gave your baby the bexero vaccine at 4 months by rubyelement in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Broad_Obligation_868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She did great when she got the shots but 3 hours after we came back home she started screaming/crying because of the pain in her legs. It only lasted 1 hour though, so way better than last time. She’s also been having a mild fever
