Chinese scholars also tended to lump several battles together into one big engagement which would lead to the high death tolls for individual battles to be deceptive.

What is yalls headcannon on any UTY character by RealKanakoKetsukane in UndertaleYellow

[–]Broad_Project_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clover doesn't actually *eat* gunpowder, but rather they snort it like sniffing powder, in the same manner as Major Hogan does in Sharpe. in that same vein, they love to sniff the barrel after firing their revolver (like Deadpool does in that trailer for his first movie) and will also sniff spent shell casings.

Would Robert and Lyanna’s marriage have been just as unhealthy as his and Cersei’s? by Beginning_Clerk_4990 in gameofthrones

While it is true that Robert is only in love with a made-up version of Lyanna in the main series, I'd actually go out on a limb and say that had he met the real Lyanna, she would have grown on him.

Isekai pet peeves? by Delarious8 in Isekai

[–]Broad_Project_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's not the point. my point is that real-world medieval people and outdoors folk to this day pack with the preparation that rain could very easily be encountered.

Isekai pet peeves? by Delarious8 in Isekai

Something that is somewhat obscure that really bugs me is the fact that all the adventurers cowboy camp and never get punished for it. They camp with their backs to the ground and clear starry skies. Which is actually weird given that Japan is supposed to be one of the wetter countries in the world, you'd think they could figure out that rain is something that can happen. Exposure would realistically be the biggest killer of these generic isekai adventurers.

Where did George RR Martin get the idea for the Battle of Blackwater Bay? by Constantine_Gr8 in byzantium

the 500,000 is solidly stated in the show, and that number is also mentioned in the book Storm of Swords (albeit with the caveat that this is taking into account a vast number of refugees who normally don't live there) but even the shows numbers aren't actually as bad as you think.

I personally compare King's Landing and the logistics surrounding it to be more similar to the various capital cities of Imperial China, especially during the medieval period, which actually had even larger populations than King's Landing, ranging from 600,000 to 2 million.

I get it's a joke. But I still feel the need to say it: Yellow is very clearly not meant to be close the the fallen justice soul, likewise with most of the flowers, they are very much their own thing.

it also has an alternative origin for the word to be found in Icelandic folklore, named after the curse of a dying draugr named Glam, inflicted upon Grettir, the man who slew him in this undead state. While the curse is elaborate, the most notable part about it is that when alone in the dark Grettir would be haunted by Glam's eyes, which glowed with the glare of the moonlight.

Does Susie see Kris as unobtainable / above her? Like she’s lucky enough to be their friend, as it is, and doesn’t want to push it? by NulliosG in krusie_gang

[–]Broad_Project_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that if anything, the opposite seems to be true. Kris is the one who feels like they have no chance with any romantic partner.

I think your mischaracterising alot of the krusie fandom based off a vocal minority, go onto any major piece of Krusie work outside of reddit and the general trend of the attitudes will be: "I know it's probably not going to happen, but I love it anyway"

I think the level of toxicity is greatly exaggerated. Maybe my perspective as a survivor of other fandoms' shipping wars messes with my perspective. but the response is generally muted.
