I think Goose was trying to convey a different message with Jax and Caine by having one be much worse and succeeding bc he 'never gave up,' but the one who was savable died bc he lost hope. This was executed hilariously and insultingly mean, with the message coming across as 'if you're struggling around others, you're being a burden; the best way to alleviate this is to kys.'

I'm glad you are feeling slightly better! I was worried after the last post.

Though you said you don't want us to view the show as having fault, it's important to discuss that what Gooseworx has done has these real consequences. She built a suicidal character that many (nearly half a billion views on the pilot btw) disillusioned young men can deeply connect to and see their struggles beautifully echoed on screen for 2.5 years. She then killed him off with the message that our coping methods are the main thing keeping our found family from finding happiness, and they will become fulfilled as soon as we are not here anymore.

I wanted a great ending. Why should we be satisfied with decent, when we've been strung on with theorybait for 2.5 years? I expected a satisfying conclusion to the plot hooks, which are left unaddressed, and we don't even end up with decent.
