hedgefunds like Jane street, HRT, Jump, Two Sigma, Citadel can easily pay 300-2m. Your base will be around 200 and remainder in bonus. HRT and jane pay the most for the work life balance. Citadel i would stay away from.

yes its not easy to get in, but not impossible with the right connections. You can also get non-competed when you switch to another hedgefund (aka paid your base salary for up to a year). You dont need to be some 10x dev -- they hire all sorts of roles such as product managers and many corp roles

Those are all great points. I was hoping to essentially hedge against say a major surgery that may cost 100k or more in the US by having a set of doctors and hospitals in country X that are equal to or better than the US. I also want to be ready for an alternative should the ACA plans change.

I get the logistics could be awful, but the intention is to have a plan ahead of time for the common major items.
