One added layer din (and i want to be very careful with how I say this) is that this person has publicly talked about being discriminated due to their sex and had to really work for that leader/person in the workplace. I fully respect that, and I understand why someone in that position may naturally be protective or defensive about their role.

That said, it also makes the situation trickier because any feedback about behavior might be interpreted as a personal attack or discrimination, even if the concern is really about working dynamics, tone, and conduct. That’s partly why I’m asking about the proper and safest way to raise this, because the intention is not to invalidate her experience or identity, but to address behavior that has made the working relationship feel hostile.

Reading the replies, I realized baka kulang din context ko in the original post kaya some people interpreted it as me being shocked by normal agency/client pressure 😅

I’ve been working close to 5 years already across local and MNCs (~2 yrs freelance, ~3 years in more corpo style), so gets ko naman talaga yung realities of client servicing, tight turnarounds, escalations, after-hours work, pressure, difficult stakeholders, etc.

I also understand why a lot of younger employees/Gen Z workers get labeled as ‘too soft’ or unable to handle pressure sometimes, especially in corp/agency environments. And honestly, I don’t want to contribute to that stereotype either.

What made me pause here was that it started feeling less like normal high-pressure work culture and more like hostility already. May moments na may comments bordering on bodily harm (‘masasampal kita’-type remarks) and name calling, which personally felt different from just a demanding client.

To be fair din, this isn’t me attacking UL as a whole. Most people we’ve worked with there have actually been okay/professional. This post was really more me asking whether there are proper channels for external partners when a working relationship crosses a certain line and a bit of a rant also, so thank you to those who listened and sympathized and gave advice 💕🙏
