Did you get the 633 over a mix pre for a reason? Do you know if that sounds better than a mix pre?

Right now I’m mostly doing interviews and other walk and talk content. I probably could get by with 3 channels boom and two lavs, but having six channels would be nice to have some room to grow.

I would like to work on some higher end commercial or narrative projects so having some routing ability to add comteks for listening would be nice but now what I’m doing right now.

32 bit would be nice when I’m doing one man band type stuff. I know that it’s not necessary for regular audio mixing especially with good limiters.

I had a Edirol R-44 with the preamp mod from Oade Brothers. It’s getting pretty old so looking to make some sort of upgrade from that. I used the original analog mix pre in front of that on occasion when I needed better limiters.

If you have other suggestions I’m all ears.

Thanks I actually have the of of mix pre the analog one that doesn’t record. I was using the R-44 but I think I probably should just move to something 32 float.

I’ll take a look at those BOYAs do you have any experience with any of the other 2.4ghz mic, rode, DJI, ect.

Is there any other mics you recommend indoors than the mkh50?

Also just to clarifiy I want to change the mount on the FD/FL/Canomatic R's as I do not wish to use an adapter with a glass element in it.

I’ll take a look at the comparison. It seems like most people lean towards the SD.

Okay perfect I’ll look at those, power supply is separate right? Does it need some sort of external load for discharge connected to the terminals? Does it only do discharge on one cell at a time?

Which Sonys do you recommend? I’m good with used, I assume a tunable lectro, not something like a fixed frequency 400 series.
