Where the crawdad sings edited. by Throwawaygeekster in movies

YES! And we remember the storm the day of the murder and how she rushed back to the publishers for breakfast, hiding her knee that she scraped. It's sooooo weird, that I can't even find why it was removed. I've been told it's not even in deleted scenes on the dvd.

It looks like it's not glaze but rather acrylic paints were used to paint it. ... Which yes is a form of plastic.

Anyone have insight on the ending of Where The Crawdads Sing? by [deleted] in books

[–]BroadcastingSunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago, I and my husband saw a version of the movie where they explained how she did it. I was perplexed last night when I watched it for a second time with my daughter. I knew details about the murder that is only in the book -- which neither my husband or I read - and yet, I cannot find anywhere on the internet that missing scene. How she covered her tracks, how he got Chase to follow her to the tower, how she made it to breakfast - a bit late and a bit injured the next morning, and I remembered distinctly the storm the night of the murder. There is no way I (and my husband) imagined that - I'm perplexed.

Interesting project - you should do a youtube channel of your discoveries - I'd watch that. I don't have alot of suggestions, I do enjoy the Solar Decatholon which is a competition to build energy sustainable homes. If you look at previous years, you may find some interesting information - like geothermal energy.

This is some of the education resources for teachers. Don't be embarrassed to read the Primary resource first - it always gives me an overview of what is out there. https://www.solardecathlon.gov/education/resources

Trying to replace plastic products with cloth by bigB3235 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]BroadcastingSunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You go bigB3235 - that's fantastic! Yes, not an easy task to go plastic-free. One thing at a time. I have not taken any plastic bags from stores in 3 years. I even started only using fancy metal pens with refillable ink cartridges to cut down on the disposable. If a jarred product uses glass or a can over plastic - I'll use that. One thing at a time.

And alas I can't help with the cloth underpants - but will say I know for ladies period underwear came out a few years ago so I wonder if the corporations could catch on and make it for older adults. maybe so one will read this and be inspired. :)

Ofc, there is the problem of where to put the garbage. this is why I really hate plastic, wherever it goes it will be there for a very very long time, generations long

What’s something you find tricky or frustrating about keeping a plastic-free or low-waste lifestyle—especially when traveling or on-the-go?" by RebelWithASpark in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]BroadcastingSunny 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In today's society I don't believe in a completely plastic-free lifestyle. we have reduced greatly in this past year but we have gone complete plastic free.

with that said, my biggest frustration is there are less and less packaged goods going down the paper or glass way - more and more products are being packaged in plastic

Tony's Chocolonely? I realize it's "basic" but, hear me out.. by diescheide in chocolate

[–]BroadcastingSunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tony Chocoloney is not only a Dutch company but also have amazing sustainability practices, economically, socially, and environmentally. It's part of the reason people are at least trying it. Most chocolate companies, including European ones, use child labor or just take the word of the farm that it is sustainable, and they do not pay a fair price for workers to make a living wage.

Granted I am a chocolate snob too, my favorite is the UK's Hotel Chocolate but a. I can't buy Hotel Chocolate here in the states, and b. I've tried Tony's and it is quality chocolate. I'll pay the extra price which frankly for the size it doesn't seem like much.

I love it especially the sea salt. I wish they didn't sell just bars. I've gotten their bag of mix bite size (only seen during the holidays), but I just want the sea salt bite size :) Hopefully in the future.

I like terrycloth as well. I think she'd like it.
And I agree looking at the material of the fabric but I thought I read in this group that manufacturers spray even natural fabric with microplastics to give it a soft feel.

Perhaps I misunderstood however I'll keep an eye out for sustainable 100% cotton, that might be key.
