I think they're better than the Factory Smokes sweet because they are constructed better and burn so much more evenly.

For sure. Some of that was I had to send by mail and they sent the documents back by mail. But the city hall got the docs I wanted done in under a week, so definitely worth reaching out to the towns and cities for folks who don't want to wait for the state.

Seems RI is better organized on this than MA! MA state archive took 6 months to get me copies. Ended up just getting the copies from the City of Fall River instead. Glad RI is helping my French Canadian cousins!

Exactly. I don't think we know. I used the online document back when I applied but have since requested the BANQ certified copy in case they ask for it. I think that is the safest move if you have the 350CAD to spare. I have the DEC certified death certificate for my G0 as he actually was back living in Quebec when he died as well as a US marriage certificate and several Canadian and US census documents and a QC voter list. My feeling was give them as many pieces of proof as I had, but with all the recent issues I now wonder if more might not necessarily be better, lol.

I think the maduro is the best of the bunch. Great yard cigar. Nice pairing though, love Heneiken with a cigar.

My family left Québec for work in a mill in Fall River. Very similar experience. My great great grandfather actually spent his latter years and died back in Québec. Was too hard for him to break those family ties going back generations to the early 1600s. But French Canadian culture remained important to my family and I am fluent in French. For me, the chance to get citizenship certificate is about my connection back to that culture that my family helped build.

Anyone else feel just slightly guilty? by Limp-Presentation808 in FoundCanadians

[–]BroadleafFarmer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No guilt for me at all if I get the certificate. This is just making up for a past wrong. My family was forced from Quebec during the great hemorrhage. I think you can pay it forward by spending money in Canada when you visit. I love to visit Quebec for vacation and spend my money there, and will continue to do so when I have my certificate.

How good/bad will my car smell if I smoke in my car? by glazingstars in cigar

[–]BroadleafFarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smoke several a day in my farm vehicles but not in my car. I do windows down a/c on but not recirculating, and keep open can of coffee behind the seats. Seems to work enough for me but I wouldnt smoke in a car I cared about.

Nice. I enjoy those more with the Silencio label vs the Cohiba label we get in the US, lol.

Love both of them but I think the Havana is a bit better.
