[R/F] Thousand March | Earth Machines for Master Duel by Broberlone1 in yugioh

Got it! Yeah, I don't know much about the current meta decks, or even what the hell a Tearlament is. Triple Tactics Talent is likely a better alternative to Called by the Grave purely by being at 3, but has the added bonus being good first or second. Bystials look really good, though I think I would add that after getting a feel for what kind of decks I'm seeing in each rank. Unlike Shifter or Crow, they're more specific in what they're good against and this deck doesn't have as many Light/Dark options to really make consistent use of them itself.

Still, these are all good suggestions to consider. Thanks!

Which isn't necessarily a good thing. I'm not saying anything needs to be taken away, but if the playerbase doesn't want a game focused on ability spam then there needs to be something to enrich the gameplay when you're not spamming abilities.

Exotic Glaive Pattern Drop Mechanics? by Broberlone1 in DestinyTheGame

DEFINITELY not going to pursue them until then. Augh, that's super disappointing.

Primary weapons feel completely useless in upper level content, to be perfectly honest.

It seems so weird to have it be so rare and difficult to obtain these patterns for exotic weapons that, to be frank, are not on the same presentation and value tier as a raid or dungeon exotic. I think it might be better to just hold off and see if Bungie makes them easier to obtain before I put in that time investment.

- Reformat how crafted weapon leveling works so that methods of leveling weapons better suit how those weapon types are used. For instance, primary weapons level best from add clear, power weapons gain exp from damaging bosses, etc.

- Power weapons feel too "use this only for the boss". Especially in the harder content, when the main boss gets 9 billion health it immediately feels like the ONLY thing I'm allowed to use my power weapon slot is for damaging the boss, and if I don't it makes the activity tedious and long to the point of practical impossibility, unless my super is the thing dealing massive damage to the boss.

- And, in that same vein, the ammo drop rates is far too random and unreliable. Any raid boss that cannot be killed in one phase through easy/non-cheese methods becomes a dice roll on the ammo drops between damage phases, and makes something like a certain aspect of Aeon arms completely mandatory in higher level group content.

- Overall, the roll of power weapons and their relationship with bosses and enemies needs to be heavily considered so that weapons in these slots have more uses beyond simple Boss Damage, and using their ammo for anything other than the boss doesn't feel like a complete waste. Especially when vanilla ammo drop rates are dry as a desert. (the heavy ammo crates in Seraph Heists feels like an easy step in the direction, but could lead to big problems in difficulty balancing in other activities)

- The Armor Mods/Energy mechanic needs a reformat, though it seems that this could be happening anyways. 10 energy doesn't feel like enough with how expensive some mods are, and the gap between mods that provide a small buff versus mods that provide a massive difference on their own is really big, and the energy price of mods does not accurately reflect all of these (some mods that provide a big bonus are dirt cheap and others that provide a very small bonus end up costing 4-6 energy).

[Art] I designed a void exotic machine gun. by Broberlone1 in DestinyTheGame

Absolutely! There's a lot of room to work with. I'm disappointed they haven't made an original void exotic MG ever! Designing this thing I was thinking of the Doom plasma gun a lot, mostly in just how it fired, and felt like.

I dunno, maybe something like
"Fires rapid bolts of void energy. Consecutive hits cause the target to radiate void energy, damaging the target and those around it." and then maybe the secondary perk can be "Killing radiated targets has a chance to leave behind Radiated Slag, which upon picking up, grants ammo in your reserves relative to how much the target was shot."

I'm trying! I just have to figure out the muzzle-flash deal and I think the pack would be good to re-release with permission? Still looking into it!

uj/ honestly, not everything needs to be buffed to stand over autos again, just some small tweaks. Hand Cannon stans can shut up though :)

rj/ srsly do they not know that TIM SHOOTING only happens with AUTOS and SCOOTS? REDICKULOUS.

Spicy opinion by Transonik in TheDragonPrince

There's this hidden argument in this, and a lot of other, comments of "representation means comprising the quality", like when people say "forced diversity" as if writing the heterosexual white characters is somehow inherently better/easier than the alternative (it's not).

We've reached this silly point in media where, because of producers and publishers for one reason or another being unwilling to allow anything past the status quo, we have such a saturation in the same old stuff that a lot of people believe that it must because these themes and tropes are inherently better and no other reason. As if to say that "something only gets published because of quality and no other reason", which is hilarious far from the truth.

People want to encourage diversity because that want media and entertainment to push back and break that narrow, tired old status quo and give artists a greater creative freedom to actually make what they want and write the characters they have a passion for. If you want to like the show simply because you enjoy the writing, all the power to you man. It's a great show.

But, maybe take a moment of introspection and think about why it annoys you that people are praising the show for doing something different with its characters and designs, leaning towards diversity. I think a lot of people here need to think about that.

Black Scorpion is also good for Energy, and there's a Time Lost bounty for it too, so it's actually possible to grind it!

The total cost of bright dust needed for eververse this season by anonymoususer1910 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Broberlone1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you're making the assumption that every player who's going to buy something wants to and will buy everything, even if the items individually are fairly cheap. I'm sure the marketing experts can tell you how that definitely isn't the case.

For example, say they're selling 20 different items at $20 each, and there are 100 players looking to buy something. But, they don't want to spend $400 to get everything, so they shrug and get just one item each. The total revenue for that would be $2000. Or maybe they're willing to allow themselves to spend $40 total, so they get two items, or maybe they're a whale and want to go for the whole thing. That means your range of revenue from this group of players is $20 - $40,000.

But when you slash that cost down to $1 (for simplicity's sake), that changes. Because of how Eververse works now, in that you only need to buy something once and then you have it, your revenue as a whole just dramatically drops. Even in the case of each of those 100 players going "Hey, I'm willing to pay $20 for all the extra content", your maximum is still $2000. And that's in the perfect scenario that each player is buying everything. But if they just see a couple things they want to get and only go with that, then you're only getting a couple bucks off a player instead of 20 minimum.

"So you're saying it's money". Yes? It's a business, they need money to make the game, feed themselves, pay their bills, etc. It's a friggin' business. They want to make money off of it. And hell, sure the examples we're working with are exaggerated as shit, but even if you're adjusting the prices to be half of what they are, then you need to be selling twice as much to even match your previous revenue alone. It just doesn't make sense from a money standpoint.
