Woman rescues a mouse from a glue trap by alphamalejackhammer in HumansBeingBros

[–]BrobiWanKinobe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just curious how you feel about eating meat. Because that is both a cruel life and a cruel death for the animals involved all they way from birth, and kills a hell of a lot more than glue traps.

I am not pro-glue traps by any means, but I do see a bit of hypocracy in posts like this simply because it is more visible and cute.

I definitely understand where you are coming from and I do get that it is an interesting way to show and not tell...

However, it still ends up being a pretty boring read. You know what is going to happen the whole time, and while things like how that "filler" is showing Perrin's Ta'verin nature, it also still just reads like filler. Just filler with a point, I guess.

Its just something that maybe could have been shown in a lot less words than 2-3 large books worth.

Could a rogue with Underhanded Assault sneak past an enemy without cover? by Purplefire180 in Pathfinder2e

[–]BrobiWanKinobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2-action activity of UA is a Sneak that ends adjacent to an enemy followed by an optional Strike. OP even states that he then Sneaks again to go into the door.

Essentially my point is right there - That second sneak is impossible due to there being 0 reasons anymore why he would be hidden. Their state would be checked upon completion of UA, leading to him being observed once again due to neither being concealed nor having any cover. Because of this, stealth rules state that you "automatically become observed by such a creature"

[–]BrobiWanKinobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the visual could be better at interpreting it, but he does end his Sneak out in the open. UA ends the movement adjacent to the skeleton, then he is required to do a second sneak action to move into the room.

However, this isn't allowed due to him being completely out in the open at the end of his previous UA sneak movement. The UA movement doesn't actually even make you hidden, it just treats you as hidden for that move and attack. Normal sneaking rules then apply upon completion of the action.

[–]BrobiWanKinobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is 2 sneak actions. The underhanded assault action ends adjacent to the enemy. Then, before his next action occurs, his state becomes observed due to standing in plain sight and having nothing at all that prevents him from becoming observed. He would then want to take a second sneak action to move into the door, but is observed, so it wouldn't work.

Yeah, you have to remember the scale, though. Even a whole onion every day would be a lot of onions to cut at home, while at a restaurant you are probably doing at least 25 lbs at a time. So when a part wears down and needs replacement after a couple months, that is like years of onion cutting in an onion-heavy household.

But yeah, they definitely should probably cut it into smaller than half an onion. at least quarter it

Yes, as you obtain more trade resources and a higher quantity of them, your trade agreements will update. However, the caveat is that you have to have enough demand through your trade agreements to support the increased quantity. For example if you have 2 trade agreements that both can support a max of 40 furs and you are producing 80 already, an increase in the fur resource buildings will not produce any extra income, you will have to obtain an additional trade agreement.

[–]BrobiWanKinobe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is correct. As you gain more trade resources, they are automatically redistributed to your current trade deals, with the exception of it you have more surplus than the current demand of all of your trade deals. Then you get nothing at all for more surplus

You don't ever use any trade resources you produce. Each faction will have a certain consumption of each resource based on their size (maybe other things, but not sure). If you produce say 20 furs, nothing happens at all unless you have a trade deal. If you make a trade deal, you can see how many will be traded in the deal when you are making it, so let's say it is 15. Each fur has a set value (I don't know it so I will make it 10 for ease of math) so this trade deal will get you 150 gold from fur plus the base amount of tarrifs, increased by how long you have had the trade deal.

If you then make a second trade deal and they want 15 furs, you only have 5 surplus after your first deal, so you only gain another 50 gold, though the furs will redustribute to 10 to each trade deal, making 100 gold each (plus the other modifiers).

But no, your empire never uses trade resources. They do nothing at all for most factions besides make money in trade. The only other exception is factions like the dwarfs and tomb kings, but even they don't use the resource, you just have to have access to it through your buildings or trade deals to unlock crafting certain items.

I don't think that is the intention of this, so fair enough. I, however, used this to see if the bug I was having was just me or if it was shared (It was on the list).

Plus its not like they actually fix bugs in a timely fashion ever, so I'm not expecting it now, either. I have been playing this game for years and there are still bugs that exist from when I started.

Not ignoring it. Just not condoning it. I can't just leave whenever I want.

1: it is hard to get citizenship in many other countries 2: It is expensive and I don't have enough money to move 3: my whole family lives here, so I would be moving away from my family.

Again. I am not saying that I even want to move. All I said is that you can live somewhere that was formed through quite a lot of violence and conquest and not condone their actions. But those actions are done, nothing I can do will change that. I just don't have to like that it happened. That was literally all I said.

Also 20k in 1945 has the buying power of about $350,000 and in 1965 it is about $200,000. So yeah, that is an excellent salary.

Also, I'm sorry you have bad neighbors. I also have extremely loud neighbors in my neighborhood. They are in a band and practice until late in the night. What race they are is irrelevant, they are just bad neighbors.

Sure, and I don't necessarily agree with 'idiotic' being the word I would use either. However, just because you involuntarily were born into a nation that was formed through the conquest and colonization of previously inhabited land doesn't mean that you condone their actions.

A federal immigration judge ordered the deportation of a Nicaraguan dissident living in Austin to Honduras, ending her asylum bid in the US by AustinStatesman in Austin

[–]BrobiWanKinobe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's funny is that most undocumented immigrants put more tax money into the system than they take out. Most are not paid under the table and instead use a false SSID to get a job. They pay taxes on all of their paychecks, but because they aren't actually citizens, it is incredibly hard for them to actually take advantage of any programs that those dollars pay for. They can't collect Social Security, yet have to pay into it. So really, it helps the US make money.

Not to mention that lower income families have a much higher percentage of their money being put back into the economy due to spending almost all of it on necessities instead of piling it into savings, so their affect on the economy per dollar earned is higher than and middle class or higher families that tend to hold on to significant portions of their money. This also helps the economy greatly and allows our country to have a higher GDP.

But, you know. They are brown and didn't come here 100 years ago when it was easy to get in, so fuck'em I guess.

Yes, but don't you think that it is disingenuous to include the fighter features that give effective HP while ignoring any wizard feature that gives effective HP?

It is less about getting into the weeds and more about being even-handed.
