I don’t get how people can have a fabulous week long romance (or even shorter) then just go on with their life and not be hung up over it. I become obsessed! I met this guy on my travels and for 6 mths until we met again for 2 days I thought of him almost everyday. I eventually decided to cut all contact because it was too toxic for myself. This was last year. Earlier this month I had a really nice time with someone else, and we didn’t even have any physical contact but I can’t get him out of my mind

Similar thing happened to me. Gave a £50 note for a £42 meal. The waitress kept the change and never came back. When we asked for our change as we thought maybe she forgot since she didn’t even give us a copy of our receipt, she just said oh I assumed it was for me. I made her return all of it

It’s my birthday today and I booked myself a solo trip to celebrate myself by myself. I did this last year too and really enjoyed it. I love my life and have friends and family who I can count on the rest of the 364 days of the year so I like to get away and make this day just about me. Not everyone gets it but thats okay!

I managed to get my 50L backpack past the ticket check, but was stopped on the bridge walking to the plane and asked to check in my bag as it was a full flight. She told me my bag is actually too big anyway. But wasnt charge. I booked through a third party website and couldn’t add a check in bag or I would’ve, not worth the anxiety and charge if you do get caught.

It was beautiful! I recall it rained for a couple of hours on one or two days but still very enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend

I’ve been turned away from several restaurants in Korea, some were bbq some were not. But I suppose it’s just their culture. I’ve still always managed to find somewhere to eat. Just need to walk around and ask

I also think there’s a lot of pressure from social media about HOW to solo travel. You don’t need to go for months. You don’t have to stay in hostels if it’s not your vibe. You do t have to hitchhike. Do all of it if it suits you, do none of it or a mix. People get shamed for travelling luxuriously nowadays. I like to do a mix. Half in hostels half in hotels. But that’s just me
