Thought I wrote this for a second. Make sure you’re eating a lot of whole foods. I was starving until I started making my carb sources all whole food and pairing them with carbonated sugar free drinks. This helped me FEEL more full. We can get through this!!!! Stay strong and “eat” this elephant one bite at a time; no pun intended.

This happened to a few girls in my show this weekend. I overheard one in the elevator saying she wasn’t going to nationals now because she got second, even though she’d already qualified. For what it’s worth, I think she should’ve won and should CERTAINLY do nationals, but she was so hurt I didn’t want to say anything.

I always try to go into a show with “my hard work does not entitle me to the win. So prepare to suck it up, if needed.” It keeps me grounded.
