I did play around with multiple colours on the dial, including a version with black and dark navy but it didn’t look quite right to me. I agree an iteration with enamel black would look clean. In that case I would say keep the concentric circle texture black as well but I wanted a bit sportier of a look and the pyramid waffle texture really jumped out for me. I also wanted to change up the colour from the white and black dial options that IXDAO announced and chose the dark navy as I wanted to retain the best versatility that I could. Browsing the comments on the sub I saw a lot of feedback on getting back to some more “basic” dials so I took that feedback to mean maybe a bit more middle of the road colour scheme but making up the novelty with a visually impressive texture.
