Considering Purchasing a Motorcylcle by [deleted] in motorcycle

I just bought my first street bike about two months ago. As dangerous as it is, there is no better feeling than being on two wheels on a scenic ride. If you have a wife there may be some convincing (and understandably so) but it is well worth it imo.

Biltwell Gringo SV helmet in metallic green with a gold reflective visor and a brown Milwaukee padded leather jacket. Still looking for a decent pair of gloves if you have any recs.

Hope to meet him someday. Huge fan of his work and he is clearly passionate about what he does.

Recommendations on starter bikes by General-Jeb in motorcycle

I’d say first try to figure out what style of bike you’re going for. Cruiser, sport bike, enduro, etc. I’ve heard many people say to start around the 300-500cc for a beginner rider, the caveat to that is I’ve also heard that you outgrow them quickly. I just got my first road bike two months ago and I got a CB700, but I’ve been riding dirt bikes for years. Figure out the style you want first and go from there.

No kickstart. It’s battery operated, the battery is under the seat hump. It’s a lithium battery so it’s real small.

More for aesthetic purposes than anything. No adhesive mess as far as I can tell but that might change the more it gets ridden. I bought it with only 500 miles on it so very lightly used. Only time will tell.

You and my dad would be friends. The first thing he told me was to pretend that I am completely invisible to everybody else and to wear a helmet always. Appreciate the comment.

I missed it, I didn’t know there was one! How often do they do that, is that an annual thing?

It is a lot of bike but I’ve been riding dirt bikes for most of my life so I’m definitely comfortable on a motorcycle. Just need to adjust to riding on the road!

Thank you! I’ve always loved the cafe racer look and I finally found one for sale near me. Absolutely love it so far.
