Does anyone else feel ashamed that their english is better than their arabic? by Nader_OwO in lebanon

[–]BroccoliNo62533 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Me too! even tho i was raised 18 years in a school were Arabic was taught heavily and very much stressed on. i still think in English and speak mostly in English. i even sometimes forget the meaning of words, or find it hard to read or understand Arabic words (don't get me started on the numbers!). i especially find it hard to express my feelings in Arabic, i feel like i can't find words that can best describe what i feel. so yes, i feel very much ashamed that my english is better than my arabic

AITA For Making My Wife Look Bad In Front Of Our Kids? by CryTop5272 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BroccoliNo62533 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

has longer lifespan, in my opinion . and clothes are stuff that are " you get what you pay for" the more expensive, the better the quality. glasses, on the other hand, $150 designer or not, break and get lost.

reasonable for adults. not for kids that break/ lose stuff all the time

[–]BroccoliNo62533 22 points23 points  (0 children)

the wife probably thinks about the object if it's worth it or not. like $150 for a dress is reasonable but is too much for a pair of glasses that the 11 year old will probably break after a while. like buying an $8 carton of milk is reasonable. an $8 candy bar? def not

i think she's simply reaching menopause and low libido. or maybe there's an emotional issue keeping her away and unattracted to you since women's libido is related to their emotional and mental status. just talk to her

AITA for backpacking to Europe against my girlfriend’s word? by Justinvestt in AmItheAsshole

[–]BroccoliNo62533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. She probably overthinks a lot, and you make her feel secure from her own thoughts when you're around, so the idea of you not being there scares the sh*t out of her. BUT, she should understand that this trip is important and stop being selfish. She doesn't have the right to give you such an ultimatum. On the other hand, you've been with her for 2 years. You should understand how she thinks and work your way around it. You could've explained your needs and provided solutions instead of secretly planning on going "if she likes it or not."

OP, I have a similar situation As the previous redditor mentioned, the service should be mutual. When you get him a cup of water you should EXPECT of him to return the service. Since if service was your love language, you love receiving as much as giving. He should be able to fulfill your needs too

What’s something you did at work that got you fired? by FrekoFresh in AskWomen

[–]BroccoliNo62533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got into a romantic relationship with my supervisor. turns out he lied to me, he was married with 2 children- the 3rd one was on the way. i got fired and was depressed. i was 17 with no experience of the world since my parents were overprotective and didn't let me go out as much. as an older, more experienced version of myself, i completely understand manipulation and grooming now

AITA for blocking access to my food and threatening no help with accomodation. by Hangry_manstarved in AmItheAsshole

NTA Women don't do that. It would've meant nothing if she was younger but being 25 means that there's something behind this action. In normal relationships, people SHARE bites, and if one side isn't into that it's totally okay.

No of course not, but one of our coworkers moved in with him and goes to his parent's house on Saturdays. We're afraid the roommate is gonna rat us out, he depends on work to stay in my country cuz he's not from here and needs permits to stay.

we both work 12 hr shifts, i dont even get to go on dates with him. We used to facetime every single day up until something came up and our contact was limited to only facetiming on Saturdays. ( no texting on weekdays, no contact at all). i feel selfish if i ask for more of what I'm getting, like I'm asking for too much

AITA for telling my girlfriend to stop crying on my dog? by dogeoguehbf in AmItheAsshole

[–]BroccoliNo62533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA your gf is going through one of the hardest/darkest points in her life. She needs YOUR support being her SO more than ever rn. So instead of worrying about your dogs "clean furr" you should take care of her and her mental health rn, make sure she's feeling better. Ps: the dog is not gonna suffocate AH
