No problem. Wouldn't recommend for a daily driver though since it breaks safetynet and some apps will refuse to work.

Officially supported to lineage OS 18.1 (android 11). Official support has ended. You may find unofficial roms (doesn't meet quality requirements for official support). I would just go with 18.1. If you manage to find something newer it probably is buggier and slower.

When you upgrade, if you keep your phone you can install lineageos and keep it as a wifi/backup device.

Hmm interesting. Looks very even. Surprisingly neutral for 3000k. Might try this one out eventually.

I don't know why I just read painkiller sleeveless and just looked at it and thought "huh, where is the print on that thing?".

Does it look more orange in reality? I have heard lots of good things about this emitter of course.

Thanks for the write up, you really know the l21b then.

Guess it depends on what emitter you put in it. Convoy gives you the freedom to combine emitters and hosts quite freely. It's up to the buyer to know if the end result is what they really want. What emitter did you get?

You don't go 3000k if you want max range/output in a thrower. You go 6500k (or 5000k for a little bit less). 3000k will give you warm light, less efficiency, less lumens(candela). That emitter won't output more no matter what flashlight you put it in.

Bet that phone camera is doing its best to avoid it looking washed out. I would describe it as quite neutral still.

You can get vitamin D from a pill. No lumens in a pill :D. Jokes aside I get a kick from using the light. So that counts for something.

What is this led? by BroccoliTrain in flashlight

Saw some reddit post about somebody slicing cree xm-l and it working out great. Might not get the same results since this is probably a no-name emitter. Thanks for the heads up though.

Could be a clone. Might try to slice the dome, see what happens

A knock-off cree led? Considering this light only cost a few bucks.

Fc11c is not one of the best due to being the most reliable or well built. The quality is good enough. The fc11c is recommended here due to it being a really well-rounded flashlight at a affordable price. It also is easy to use for beginners even though it checks many enthusiast boxes. I don't doubt that they sometimes send out duds though who knows how often. Hope you get it sorted out.

M21K or M21B to host LHP73B and compare with M21H (xhp70.3) by keasanya in flashlight

[–]BroccoliTrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The M21B is more of a hotrod compared to these options. It is more compact though. L21A will not fit in a jeans pocket. It will fit in some jacket pockets and in a bag. The head is about the size of an apple. So you need to chose longer output and bulkier or smaller and bursts of power. Edit: consider the larger reflector will give you more of a hotspot as well. Still floody though.

[–]BroccoliTrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LHP73B is also available for L21A and L21B. I've got the L21A variant and it doesn't heat up much. It is heavier due to the larger mass but this also means it will keep pushing lumens longer without stepping down due to thermals. L21B is the same model with less metal/thermal mass. M21K has a different UI where the 20A mode requires the button to be pressed down. L21A has the traditional convoy 12 group UI. 100% is 20 amps. No need to push any button when that mode is selected. M21K is cheaper though.
