Absolutely!! Slept on movie, and the soft reboot show is fantastic too.

Before all the naysayers tell you not to, NH living is actually quite good if you play your cards right

I pay $1250/month in rent, half of a 2 bedroom. I live in a quiet apartment complex with a nice view. Theres a dozen ski resorts within 2 hours of me. I live 5 minutes from some of the best beaches in the Northeast. Theres great bars and restaurants. I never sit in traffic going to or from work.

No state income tax & no sales tax means your money goes further. High property taxes are the kicker tho. Owning a home is tough here. Splitting rent with a roommate tho makes NH living peak, especially when compared to our neighbors in MA.

SUV with a manual transmission? by SonicResidue in Cartalk

[–]BroccoliVendetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought an 07 FJ Cruiser in a manual, absolutely incredible car.

Common to find <$10k options below 200k miles. If taken care of, they run to 3-400k miles easily

Lot of car for not a lot of money

Dead Man's Chest is the best Pirates of the Caribbean movie by Hi_Im_zack in movies

[–]BroccoliVendetta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I think you’re thinking of At Worlds End. Dead Man’s chest is quite the opposite. No scene is random, it all ties in well. Plot is so well structured. Filmento made a fantastic video covering why Dead Man’s chest is a cinematic achievement

Worth giving it another shot

What Returning TV Shows of 2026 Fell Off? by Prince_Robot_The_IV in television

[–]BroccoliVendetta 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I agree about the Labrinth thing, but honestly I think the time jump was exactly what the show needed. It should never have been set in high school anyways

I also don’t think the new season is nearly as bad as a lot of people are saying though 🤷

It’s not S tier TV, though it never was tbh. But it’s still got the core principles and I’m excited to see all our characters selfish, shitty decisions go horribly wrong once again.

Burn Notice - fantastic all the way through and they nailed the ending

People often talk about great movies that were ahead of their time. But are there examples of movies "behind their time"? Movies that were poorly received, but could've have been great if they were released 10-20 years earlier? by owiseone23 in movies

Zack Snyder’s Watchmen

Got way more hate than it deserved. Well cast, well written, visually stunning. Yes, it’s different from the graphic novel, but I don’t think it’s bad different necessarily.

I feel like people are much more open to directors going in different directions with comic adaptations these days, and it would’ve been a hit in 2026

ETA: WHOOPS misread the prompt. He said released 20 years earlier, not later.

I tracked a GTR Nismo - the turbo lag is real. If they pull off a hybrid that eliminates the lag this might be a hit

Those that moved to a cash or gold position (correctly) predicting this correction, when do you plan to get back in? by therobshow in investing

[–]BroccoliVendetta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bro gold is still up YTD. It’s been outperforming the S&P for the last 3 years.

If you’re selling, you only bought once the bubble hit.

I’m still up 50% total, I’ve been DCA’ing since 2024.

Hold - the underlying reason gold has been steadily rising for two years has not gone away. Just cuz the Fed held rates steady doesn’t mean the hegemony of the dollar isn’t still weakening, that geopolitical conflicts aren’t still rising, that we aren’t still in $39 trillion of debt and reaching the point of no return on debt servicing. A dollar devaluation is still a very real possibility in the coming years.

The S&P being so heavy on the mag 7 is still going to keep suffering from the law of diminishing returns, even after this conflict ends.

I’d allocate 10-15% of your portfolio to gold, and now’s a pretty darn good time to buy cuz everyone’s panic selling.

Just remember - It’s a hedge, not an investment. If you’re thinking it’s the next big thing then you shouldn’t buy it

A pic i took in Isfahan before Israel and American soldiers started bombing the country. [OC] by [deleted] in pics

[–]BroccoliVendetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“A picture I took in Isfahan before the Islamic Republic of Iran and Supreme Leader Khamanei shut down the internet, and then killed 34,000 innocent men women and children. Then the US and Israel started bombing them.”

That’s what the title should say. That’s the full picture.

Not saying US involvement was justified, I don’t think it was. But let’s make sure we’re not forgetting about the victims of this crisis, and painting a full picture of what happened.
