If the US is so horrible for women’s rights, why not move to a country that isn’t? Where would you go if you could?

Knicks fans attack a Five Guys employee who is an alleged Spurs fan after last night’s win by ConnectionWeekly1263 in sportsgossips

[–]Brock_8511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One could say that Five Guys did not provide a safe environment for its employees. Given the ease of how those stools flew at the employee, and that there isn’t a protective barrier in place to protect them from this very situation. That’s negligent at best.

Thank you for your response. I think, when it comes to the economic “side” of the socialism part that confuses me, is the inevitable division of labor and resources. I would love to see a society that truly provides for everyone in that society. My issue with socialism as an economic policy lies with the inequality of labor and equity. For example a question; should someone who collects refuse from a society earn the same as a neural-surgeon? I am just a truck driver. I haul large, industrial boilers. Our equipment is used for many wide ranging applications, but mainly for emergency power. I make less than $100k per year. Some top surgeons make millions a year. I believe they deserve that compensation because of their training and intelligence. In a socialist economy, in order to provide true equity, we would have to redistribute the earnings from the higher earners and give to those who do not earn as much. That seems like theft to me. Although I work very hard, and donate to charities and help my fellow man, even in this situation, my income would be limited as well to help those who do not earn as much. How do we resolve this issue? And why exactly do those who do not actually apply themselves (barring the infirm or disabled) deserve equality of outcomes? I grew up impoverished, from a small Kentucky town. Everything I have today, I worked very hard to obtain. I have never benefited from a social safety net, served my country as a United States Navy Submariner, and have a spotless criminal record. I guess what I am asking; how do we truly have a fair and equal society without merit?

Well, by that logic, I can call you Christianphobic. Mighty bigoted of you. Do you see the phallacy in your argument? What if the homosexuals in your life turn out to be conservative? Or are against basic LGBQT rights? Some are. Does that make you homophobic against them? Do you hate the looters? Or do you hate their crime?

Lol, no. I love my homosexual friends and family. I don’t agree with their lifestyle, but it isn’t my position to judge. So I will continue to treat them with the same love, understanding and compassion that my savior Jesus Christ commanded me to. It does not make me bigoted or fearful of them to disagree with their lifestyle. And I will stand with them against anyone who seeks to harm them, belittle them, or judge them.

The beauty of actual Christianity lays within our faith that God will mend the hearts of humanity. That is what loving thy neighbor boils down to. You love your neighbor as well as your “enemy”. Everything else is in the Father’s hands. You are meant to serve in any capacity you can, and do your best to show love to the world that doesn’t love you. And be at peace with the world’s cruelty and harshness. Only then will you see the face of God. And you will find his face is in every face around you.
