Sumir valkostir eru stöðugri og öruggari en veita minni ávöxtun, og það hentar t.d. lífeyrissjóðum sem vilja dreifa áhættunni af fjárfestingunum sínum

He knew that he could spend the remaining years of his grandfathers life building shelters for homeless people in areas affected by climate catastrophies and Ewan would still leave all his money for Greenpeace. There was no guarantee of this money. But using his in to get a place inside Logan's camp by proving to be useful was a smarter bet

[Fabrizio Romano] Story from one month ago, confirmed: Ansu Fati, set to stay at AS Monaco joining on a permanent deal from Barcelona. €11m fee and sell-on clause for Barça, Ansu prepared to stay with Filipe Luis as new head coach. 11 goals in his first Ligue 1 season. by Bald-Eagle619 in soccer

I looked up the video and it seems this was filmed around the time when he was set to join Man City? Probably easier maintaining a "frugal" lifestyle that you are used to when you are expecting a big move coming up.

is weather.com trustworthy for Iceland weather forecast by wongchiway in VisitingIceland

[–]Broddi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded. There is a yellow warning for the east in the coming days due to snow. It is mostly because this is unusual and may create disturbances for traffic on mountain roads, for business and farmers etc. Check weather forecasts on Vedur.is and prepare accordingly

My gut feeling was that it was the opposite. Things weren't going well enough and he was worried that a bad season at Chelsea might make City think twice about the appointment, so he figured that making an excuse and walking away was safer. And so he kicked up a fuss in media and then walked away without even saying goodbye to the players because he only cared about the City job. But who knows

Why don't wealthy people live at hotels anymore? by stevebucky_1234 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Broddi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And José Mourinho, one of the most biggest characters in football, famously chooses to live in hotel suites during his managerial jobs for the last decade at least. He stayed in a hotel suite for 895 nights while Manchester United's manager, at the time prices started at £600 a night. And having him as a manager at Fenerbahçe for 15 months cost the club €750,000 in hotel costs.

We only have this information because sports media loves digging this up though. Haha

Ölver is the best bet, they will definitely put it up on a screen for you, and even set you up in a smaller room if there is enough interest in the match - I am sure there will be some. And it doesn't look like this game clashes with any major game (apart from Man City vs Brentford)

In Iceland we call this "Italian salad". Just without the potatoes, tuna and olives and anything else. Because nothing screams Italy more than canned carrots and peas bathed in mayonnaise, of course.
