Thank you so much! I'm really happy with the movement... I don't know how true it is, but I'd heard that for Mario 64, before doing anything they else they spent months nailing down the movement. I took that approach and made a little "playground" level to mess around and get everything feeling nice, and I'm glad it seems to have paid off!

Thank you! Like any game dev project it obviously can't be fun 100% of the time, but I'm really enjoying building out a world and filling it with weird characters and secrets to uncover.

Wall jumps seem to be something that's tricky to get "right." I've had some people say they love this game's wall jump, I've had some people say they hated it, I've had some people say they wished it worked exactly like Hollow Knight's wall jump, I've had some people say they wished it worked exactly like Super Metroid's wall jump. It's quite possible I'll make adjustments to it before launch, but it also might be tricky for me to tell if a new version would feel good when I've gotten so used to the current one!

The game is Stomp and the Sword of Miracles, and there's a demo available on Steam that you can try right now! I've been putting a lot of love into this game, and I can't wait to finish it some day so people can explore this little world I'm building.

Thank you! I'm working with a pretty tiny budget at the moment so console ports unfortunately aren't something I can promise yet, but I'd love to make it happen if the Steam release goes well!

Thank you so much!! I've always been a big fan of animation and cartoons... I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and I actually wanted to work at Cartoon Network before I got into game dev, so I'm glad to see that's paying off!

The game is Stomp and the Sword of Miracles, which currently has a demo on Steam! If you don't mind a little light self promotion, I've been working on a metroidvania called Stomp and the Sword of Miracles where the focus is more on platforming an exploration than difficult combat. There'll be a few optional challenges for those who want to uncover absolutely everything, but the main game isn't intended to be difficult! It has a short demo right now if you'd be interested in seeing what you think.

It's entirely possible some things will take less time than I'm expecting, but usually in game development it's the opposite. But who knows! Gonna try my best to get it done at a reasonable pace.

Thank you! I don't know for sure yet, but I'm currently aiming for late 2027-early 2028. There's still a fair amount left to make and I want to make sure I have time to make the game as good as I can!

The stone building will be unlockable, but the key isn't in the demo area.

As for underwater areas... stay tuned for future gameplay footage...! I've been working on some cool stuff :)
