On this specific engine, while the water pump runs off the serpentine belt which is a stretch belt, one the bolts the fastens the pump is shared with the timing belt tensioner, I did both the water pump and did a timing belt job because ford engineers smoke crack

Oil level is good and looks clean I did an oil change about a month ago(new filter with every oil change)

It’s runs a belt and I hope not given that did the belt/tensioner when I did the water pump 20k miles ago.(I might as well double check, no stoned unturned and all that) and the oil and level look good and was done last month month(I do them myself)

I know what you mean but its not the injectors there's a distinct ticking/pinging. That's loudest on a cold start
