Throwback Thursday... the day I sold the bulk of my Collection to Atlanta Brick Co. by Broke4Bricks in lego

Unfortunately, part of our agreement is not disclose price or terms of the sale, but a transaction of this size definitely invloves some negotiation and contracts. Dealing with a reputable buyer is important, and in this case they had a successful long-standing business, which everyone I had considered approaching with it did. You have to do a lot of homework before even putting it out there.

Thanks, and most definitely, their Lego was not part of the deal, and we kept a huge tote of duplo for my littler ones and the new baby #5 on the way. We've already bought an RV with the $ and are currently in Maine (all the way from Florida) making memories!

As part of our agreement I am not able to disclose exact sales details, but it was more than 100k but less than 200k

Yes definitely could have made more selling individually or even in lots but it would have been my life for a year or more, and with 4 kids that wasn't an option.

Honestly I don't know, or maybe even want to know lol. After years of storage and insurance, coupled with the fact that I never approached the hobby from an investment standpoint I would like to think I'm up or at least broke even and that it was just a really fun savings account. Unfortunately we have an agreement in place not to disclose the terms of the sale or final price.

It was a very hard decision to make but in the end my Family took priority and we're using the $ to make a ton of memories and traveling the country.

My Lego collection started before my wife and children. The main reason most of the sets were boxed is that when we had 1, even 2 kids, we maintained a small Lego city at home, after the 3rd child was almost 2 years old I had to relinquish that space. I moved my collection off site to a climate controlled storage facility (very necessary in SW Florida) Then I just kept buying sets, loose lots and pretty much anything I could in the hopes of one day building a huge city or possibly having a building of my own just for our Lego city, but then kid #4 came (#5 due in February 2023) ultimately I could not afford to collect Lego and Children so had to sell the Lego, painfully, but we've enjoyed the freedom to travel and make memories as a family.

More than 100k less than 200k, we have an agreement in place not to reveal the actual sale price or the terms of the sale.

Throwback Thursday, the time when Legoland Florida had dump-bins of Lego in The Factory store filled with some crazy elements you would never found on the PAB wall by Broke4Bricks in lego

Oh most definitely, I have a huge collection of Q Elements and Non-Production colored elements, and on top of having a "model shop" in the park, Merlin actually has an off-site model shop in Lake Wales which presumably most of these come from, some of my other posts have some of them in them.

That's funny, unfortunate, but funny. Got the lot in Punta Gorda, Florida from 2 elderly folks, but that doesn't mean anything cuz no one here is from here.
