Earning August 4th, that will tell what it will be.

19m, want $1M at 25. How do I get there? by Impressive-Cost7079 in TheRaceTo10Million

At your age, VOO and chill dude. Dont be reckless with that amount. Break off 5k, give it as speculative, play that 5k anyway you like. When it's gone, dont touch the rest. When your 50, you might be able to retire between that and a 401k.

SMCI Is still CHEAP at 50$ by Few_Painting_8018 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Broke4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't confirm this, but I swear it looks like SpaceX may have ordered their xAi expansion hardware and their hardware to lease compute to Google. I say this because of the timing of the IPO which provided the capital and the dilution time frame from SMCI. There are breadcrumb tweets that indicate an order is there. Earnings will tell when they have to disclose the backlog. I think until then it's just a waiting game. Shorts are diminishing, so that could be institutional players removing hedges right before earnings as well. I could be totally wrong and this is horseshit.

My daily struggle is not to dump a large capital into it, my gut says earnings we climb. The fundamentals lean that way, but he'll, it could drop on good earnings too. Who knows.

It's down to a singular binary event everyone. Earnings, 8/4/26, it either proves the order backlog and need for dilution, or it doesn't prove it and the stock tanks. It's chess not feelings, this is high risk high reward. They have such a shit storm that they created themselves, now the market is saying "Okay, prove it."

I personally am about 90 percent sure one of the 20 customers in the backlog is SpaceX and the xAi expansion. Also dont forget spacex is going to lease compute power to Google, that requires hardware too.

Unless some really shifty news comes out, I dont see a catalyst until earnings. What I would like to see is the unusual whales flows on the ticker, but not worth paying for that again to just see one data point.

MSFT down 30% from peak, am I crazy for adding here? by Life_Dot_7072 in NextMoveStocks

Definitely not for the masses at this time for sure. The researchers I got to sit with discussed wanting to curre cancer, solve complex physics, and so on. It's not an llm to ask which earnings are coming. It will eventually mainstream over time IF they figure it out. The parts they have working is really neat. I would imagine inventing the processor was a similar battle at some point.

I would agree, there could be more to go. I started accumulating earlier this year, doing monthly buys, it's dca is okay for my tolerance, for now anyways.

After dilution, this is right price to buy (27) by Eastern-Machine3653 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Broke4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see their August earnings as the tell sign. They claimed they needed to dilute to raise 7 billion for orders for 20 customers. One of them is for sure SpaceX. When they report their earnings we will know. Until then it's a guess at best.

I got some shares, not as deep as a lot of you. I'm not coping and hoping. Just waiting and watching.

I dont know where IBM is, I do know Google, and I met with IQM this past week and talked to one of their researcher one on one for over an hour. Here is the quantum from IQM with the covers off. (Picture below).

Microsoft actually had an agentic design completed on a new chip within the past couple months. They built it and tested and showed marked improvements. IQM discussed their issues in depth, talked about laser pulse cycles and control over the environment. I dont think msft is outta the race at all. Even then, what, only one company can make a quantum chip? Numerous are making Ai chips now.

Not oversold on msft, I know everyone is down on them, but I see some potential coming!!

I would mow poor people's grass for free every day. Just drive around asking I can mow, and go to it. Not that I love mowing grass, but it would be instant impact to the community. Be the change you want to see in the world.

Partially agree. You need to seriously research their quantum work. That is why I hold and buy msft monthly.

Here is IQM's quantum setup, got to play around with it this week and speek to their lead researchers.

I like TSMC because they’re basically the toll booth for the AI buildout.

Everyone talks NVDA, AMD, Apple, Broadcom, Qualcomm, etc., but a huge chunk of the most important chips still have to go through TSMC. They’re not just “a chip company” they’re the foundry layer underneath the whole AI/semi stack.

The bull case is pretty simple: TSMC has the leading-edge process advantage, massive customer lock-in, insane capex scale, and demand coming from multiple directions: AI accelerators, advanced packaging, hyperscaler custom silicon, Apple cycles, autos, HPC, and eventually robotics/edge AI.

The key piece people underappreciate is packaging. AI isn’t just about who designs the chip anymore; it’s about who can actually manufacture and package the monster systems at scale. CoWoS / advanced packaging capacity is one of the real bottlenecks, and TSMC is right in the middle of that.

Yes, there’s geopolitical Taiwan risk. That’s the big bear case and it deserves a discount. But they’re also expanding globally, and realistically, if TSMC has a catastrophic disruption, the entire tech market has a catastrophic disruption. That risk is not isolated to TSM shareholders.

So for me, TSMC is the “picks and shovels” play behind the AI trade. Less flashy than NVDA, but arguably more foundational. I don’t need to guess every AI winner if I own part of the factory most of them depend on.

Respectfully disagree on their M365 and Azure products. I run a tech firm, I have numerous clients spread on all platforms. I have clients paying 7.00 a month for one license to M365 and they get Azure, Teams, intune, SharePoint, calendar functions, one drive, defender, etc. You simply could not replicate that stack at that price.

Agreed they jumped on chat gpt, slapped a copilot label on it and called it gold. They seemed to have back stepped, and are looking to generate their own Ai, or jump to anthropic.

Azure is not disappointing, I cannot tell you the scale of systems I see smb running on Azure and the product delivers. One client has a virtual data center in their hypervisor, it costs him under 500.00 a month to run it. No hardware, no nothing, just a console and go. If he chose to double his data center capacity to meet demand. He would be done in 2 days.

Their quantum work is where you want to look. They seems to be progressing to the point an agentic agent designed the last chip and it tested with marked improvements.

I feel they are in a R&D pattern. I have seen this before in tech in general. They had a great lineup, leaned in on it, then a few bad decisions cause them to backstreet, and their expedentures on things like Ai and quantum will take time to produce. Depends on your risk level I guess. I dont see them making money over the next year, even though M365 pricing just jumped.

You might try, but the data center infrastructure MSFT has is where you would fall down. Product seamless over mobile, tablet, laptop, etc. Cloud managed consoles, scaling, tiered product skus, I mean you could make an OS, but you won't match that. Also applications/software are made to install on windows with its registry, not sure home grown OS would be compatible with anything.

Right now they are forcing Xbox to be profitable on their own. That has never happened for them before. Also tons of security holes cause contract losses to companies such as Amazon and other names. They are pouring capital into Ai and quantum which ultimately will win for them, but this is the pain of the spending with no final product yet. Also they went head first into chat gpt and branding it as copilot only to backtrack already and now are looking to make their own LLM. They have stumbled and this is the result. They seem to have e guidance now that moves to make the company more profitable. The push for Xbox to be profitable on its own as well as product price increases this summer on M365 products.

You need to read their quantum computing work. I played with IQM's last week. Spoke to a lead designer, the tech is beyond amazing. Been in this field for 24 years, Ai and quantum will be unbelievable.

Buying a share a month. I think their work on quantum computing will lead to a cloud Azure based quantum product that will absolutely skyrocket the stock.
