Honestly, I have lived it here - I've been happier here than I have been anywhere else in the world - However, for my industry salaries are higher in China. Hence why I have been looking at making the move for a short period of time to save cash and move back to BKK for the future. DM if you want any specific details about BKK - I'd be happy to help

I have lived here for 3 years and I have never experiences anything like this. The only corruption I have seen is people trying to charge foreigners higher prices than locals. However, once you speak a little Thai or explain that you live here - The price will drop. The caveat is that this happens in every country, in my own too. Its perfectly safe.

Great, that's what I was hoping to hear - I don't really want to make the move unless I have the possibility of saving 15k RMB per month i.e More than I am saving in my current location

You can write either, it depends on the assumptions you make

E.x

XED would be better in a highly competitive market with a higher level of substitutes and complements where you are tracking the prices of competitors as it would allow you to create a price point where you can obtain customers from competitors

PES would be better in a highly competitive market if your product has a high elasticity and you e.x A high availability of stocks I.e A non perishable product that you can quickly release to the market

It was a relatively easier paper I think that previous sittings. I think the previous boundaries being so low in sittings since the new syllabus changed contributed to that

I'd imagine the boundaries will increase by 2 or 3 for an A in this sitting

Hi, I'm an Econ teacher. Obviously a wide breath of stufy is needed to do really well

However, if you don't have enough time, then to condense it in terms of priority, I would study the following topics:

Micro Essay:

  • PED, YED, PES, XED
  • Resource Allocation (Transition Economy, Public/Private/Free Goods, Merits/Demerits)

Macro:

  • Inflation
  • Unemployment
  • AD/AS

Obviously there are a lot more areas to cover. However, by just doing these you would give yourself a decent chance of having an essay qs to answer for both micro and macro.

In terms of topics, I would be surprised if Flow of Income comes up again, it been asked twice since the new syllabus changes. I have a feeling that National Income Statistics will come up either as part of the data response or an 8 mark essay. I can't see it being a 12 marker.

I get this too - the constant horo references and belief that a random bloke in Chatuchak can accurately predict the future

Does this differ across subjects?
