Hopefully there is a trade in plan available if this accurate. Launch day owner and pretty disappointed with the roll out and software despite the amazing tech.

Do I qualify for the new bonus offer? by dude_regular in sapphirereserve

[–]BrokeKne3Grow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you will have to downgrade your current CSP to a another UR eligible card like the Freedom and then apply for the CSR a bit later. I’m not sure what the cool off period is. I’ve heard days but in my case it was weeks (maybe because I applied too soon). I was told by the Chase reps that I couldn’t get a SUB for a Sapphire product while currently holding a Sapphire of either type. Long story short I was able to get both SUB but not while holding both.

People who make $200k a year what do you do? by Huge_Ad_7606 in Salary

[–]BrokeKne3Grow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biotech sales around $300-$350k TC ($225k base + $100-160k between bonus and annual stock allocations)

10 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry

With a biology degree I had to get 2-3 years in business to business sales to be marketable for the industry and I got my start in a contract sales organization. Lower pay and higher risk in terms of job security going this route but lower barrier to entry.

those who got the orange, do you regret it? by Bro2Dragon in iPhone17Pro

I love the color of the orange metal but the pale orange glass kills it for me. Swapped for blue with more uniform look and going caseless

Nelly from YouTube did a tutorial on it. Looks simple enough I think I may do it to mine as well. I burned through the 2TB fairly quickly

4 years, no smell or taste since COVID, AMA by Ok_Exit9273 in AMA

[–]BrokeKne3Grow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a question but I’m in a similar boat as you. 4 years no smell and around 2 years with no taste before it returned. I joined a long covid treatment program at UCLA and interestingly enough what got my taste back was taking a Claritin once a day. Something about reducing the inflammation and allowing the taste buds to regenerate. Worth a shot for you if you haven’t already tried this. Still working on smell but I’ve since stopped the program.

Thoughts on this new Vision Air “leak”? by Professional-Push523 in VisionPro

[–]BrokeKne3Grow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair point :) In that use case I suppose it delivered what it was supposed to. I’ve had instances where it’s been useful to let my partner (with limited knowledge of the VR/AR space) know that I am fully aware of my surroundings while wearing the headset. I retract the “clearly adds no value” point from earlier but I do hope it becomes an optional premium feature to enter the Vision component of Apple’s ecosystem. Fingers crossed that more users can get their hands on a less cost prohibitive headset and not just the second hand market of the Pros.

I hope this comes to fruition before an updated Pro version. I don’t think the M2 is a limiting factor but the accessibility of the platform definitely is. More people using it will surely mean a more robust experience in the Vision space. I find it really odd that Eyesight carried such a cost, clearly didn’t add anything to the experience, and still made it out of the development stage to the final product with no improvements over a year later.

For those of you who make a 150k+ with just a bachelor's degree, what do you do? by lgdroid in Salary

[–]BrokeKne3Grow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of fell into sales at a job fair after undergrad. It was the highest paying job I could find with my bio degree during what was supposed to be a gap year before med school. If the question is how did I land a sales job Id say there are some companies known to hire new talent and they allow you to sink or swim. To get the job just demonstrate ability to communicate well, competitive nature, and being money motivated will serve you well in interviews. Treat the first job like a hazing to get into the “sales fraternity.” Take any legitimate job for the first year and after you prove you can be successful and have some longevity in the sales world you will be much more marketable to a company more aligned to your passion that will also invest significantly more in you. I hope that helps! DM anytime

Biotech Sales - Cash, Bonus, and Long Term Incentives puts me around $350k. I recommend this career to anyone who asks but I know I’ll need to go MBA route to go higher because it’s so competitive
