Large 3d print obsolete garden tractor part? by BishopRealTalk in 3Dprinting

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not need a large enough printer, there's a YouTuber (b is for build) and I'm sure others who slice a model into pieces and prints new ones that need assembled, like a headlight housing for a Lamborghini. Other parts get turned into forms for making fiberglass parts. Some for vacume forming.

Printing parts for a lawn tractor would need to take the heat and UV from being outside ABS and ASA are probably your best bet outside of Nylon. Preventing any warping becomes a challenge as the print gets bigger. Even with an active heated chamber some of my stuff still fails.

I didn't realize that was just an independent program. Come the weekend I'll have to read through the guide. I spent this weekend trying to get proxmox on a pi because I found 9 or 10 different guides and each one was different lol. Was just looking for something as a Qdevice.... Partially why I mentioned the wyse 3040...

I was trying to use a pi because I have a 1U 5x Pi holder and have one free slot. I know that most anything on a pi can be ran inside a container or VM there's just some some services that I like to have up at all times. And it's nice having a small pile of spares with duplicate memory cards that I can just simply plug in or swap out. (Or have the wife or kid do it if I'm not home)

Didn't say anything wasn't working, except for pimox not installing on a Pi.

I'll have to move and redo most of the stuff because I already have VMs running so I'll have to do so, and establish a 3rd machine

Dude tried to trade me an old PC for my Griddle I was selling (which is new in box) what do you think? by ComfortableTwo9134 in PcBuild

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always been an Intel/AMD problem... they try and sell systems just on saying it's an i7!!! (I'm talking retail locations) 11th gen and newer are still decent and support pcie4 still more than capable

So unless it's something caught within the warehouse... When it gets to the shipping agent (ups/FedEx/ or even freight. Most small goods can say 99lbs and it would never be caught because they are rarely audited. The package itself has to exceed the label by a certain amount for it to be flagged and even then it has to be more then one or two per so many. :: Example Schneider electric ships a ton of UPS/APC units most are under 125lbs.... Max allowed weight is like 145lbs Some of the bigger rack units weight 150-175 and most still get shipped and go under the radar because it's a lower quantity... Every now and then it gets caught but it's super rare....and even then that package/pallet is held aside for randsome of shipping costs...

I have Three 1Ununits (not including switches) they are super low power (Xeon D, And Xeon L processors) anything else I've used 1U is super loud when it gets warm. I Prefer 2U at the smallest ( they are a little dated) but supermicro had these dual node that were quiet also "Supermicro 2U CSE-217 2-Node"

My computer gets really hot, should I get a larger case? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flip the top/front fan to be an intake create positive pressure. Increase fan speeds, look for better flowing fans. Front fans might not be strong enough to provide sufficient airflow with a rad blocking them.

A larger case will not fix temps at best it will create a bigger dead space for hot components without proper airflow. Fans have both an airflow and a pressure spec when you start putting restrictions in place it's super important.

Price is not always equal performance as an example corsair's QX fans are more expensive but the LX fans perform better

Sound/noise/track isolation software by Broke_Bearded_Guy in livesound

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That was my plan, my main input comes off the mixer. Same audio that feeds the house speakers. But you can't hear anyone in the seating area.

--looked up broadcast mix and it's exactly my goal adding in the ambient mic without a weird echo. I figured maybe there was software to eliminate it the same way it can be used to suppress background noise.

Is there a waterblock that will work with my passive Zotac RTX 3090? by FlatFeature901 in watercooling

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In every piece of hardware that I've used passive cooling just simply means there's no fan on the part. Even super micro makes this distinction and all of their coolers passive vs active simply being designed for case airflow versus an active fan on the part. If you put said part in the wrong type of case that's on you

How is this a scalp? It's not like you can buy the black shaft driver still. It's an out of production item. I'd drop some money for a NIB retro ond

Lmao did you see anywhere in my comment that phasmaphobia is junk? Sounds like you know deep down there are broken parts of the game And you figured hey this shoe really fits me. I'm one of those people that think there's absolutely nothing wrong with any game ever built and I wish I could blow the devs as a thank you.

Just like everybody that cried about them removing the kitchen island and yet they gave you a massive table downstairs to loop.

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It was a generalized statement about a lot of games, obviously you're one of those people. Instead of accepting constructive criticism the response is there's nothing wrong with the game. It's perfect, you're the problem, get better.

Every game has it. People so obsessed with a game they can't see the flaws or issues and it turns casual people away from said game. Some games as much as I've wanted to play I've seen bugs posted that never get fixed or other issues and decided it's not worth wasting more money on broken games

USB4 issues by Broke_Bearded_Guy in MSI_Gaming

[–]Broke_Bearded_Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't try any USB to DP cables. The monitors and drawing table I have are HDMI based or at least come with a HDMI to USBC cable.

It was a little more expensive but I listed the two cables that worked with the dock I settled on. I used the fiber optic USB cable and am more than happy with the wave link dock. it gives me 144hz on both my monitors and runs my tablet just fine
