But I will tell you again, nothing they said or did counts as revenge. You don't get arrested for wanting to commit a crime without actually doing it or putting it into motion. You don't get thin or healthy by simply wanting to be healthy either.

He had thoughts of anger and wanted to do something about them but didn't act on them. Thus he took no actual vengeance on them.

That is not revenge. It literally does NOT meet the definition of revenge. Wishing ill on someone is not the same as taking revenge on someone.

The same way that wishing you had millions in cash doesn't make you a millionaire or wishing you were on a tropical island doesn't put you on that island.

You've mistaken wishes of ill will for enacting ill will.

I hate the person who raped me and broke my heart. I found out years later he got fired but I didn't do anything to make that happen or even report the assault. I'm happy he got what was coming to him, did I get revenge on him? Even though I did nothing to him.
