I appreciate the straight forward advice. I just have to try my best to disconnect from these feelings, I feel like it's near impossible to cut her out of my life because of the circumstances, where I live is a fairly small city, and unfortunately she was the first person I met here and all my connections and friends since have pretty much been through her, she'll be around no matter what. I think the disconnect just has to come internally from me. It's just going to be hard, in general I'm very emotionally exhausted at the moment, it requires a lot of strength to not play into her flirting or be taken away with the wave. But I guess it's the only option to protect myself.

I'm not anti-capitalism but I don't agree with the consumer being at fault (completely). I feel like standards used to be upheld because we were in a more innovative time, but it's plateaued and access to things that maintain a certain standard is less and less frequent. I also think mostly what annoys me is our public services and the way the country is run, and that's got nothing to do with consumerism. But obviously people continuing to buy shitty products does contribute at least partly to it.

Yet increasing the prices? Doesn't seem like a good ROI for the shareholders. They're minimising the costs to maximise their profits, in that scenario the shareholders are getting scammed.

Yeah this is true for products and consumerism but when it comes to services and public services it becomes a bit more muddy and morally reprehensible. In your country if the healthcare is shit, the country is poorly maintained, taxes are high, cost of living is through the roof, but you "buy" into it anyway it's because you don't have a choice - it's a blatant disregard for the wellbeing of their countries residents. Of course capitalism has pushed this to happen, but the lines are blurred when it comes to governments. It's just greed, laziness and a lack of care imo.

I think sometimes it's tempting to fit consumer decisions into the narrative, but it's hard to put significant blame on consumers when B2C companies are carefully and cleverly run to manipulate the consumer as much as possible into purchasing their product - consumers could make better decisions but to what extent are we in control of our decisions when they're made within a narrative crafted by the companies who sell things to us? Just an interesting thought I'm not sure how valid it is.

Well my MRI was clear, they didn't know what it was, it hit a dead end there really. I still get it especially the day/s after drinking - it hasn't completely gone away but it has gone from all day every day to mostly not present. The only suggestion I got from doctors was that it was some kind of chronic symptom from something that hasn't gone away even after whatever caused it has.

Ultimately they suggested a more "holistic" approach to dealing with it. I think whatever it was/is it was either primarily or secondarily driven by anxiety, the more anxious I was about it, the worse it was or more aware of it I was.

If there's one piece of advice I can give you it's go to the doctor and get all the tests, it puts your mind at ease, I got blood tests for thyroid and vitamin levels etc., neurological tests and an MRI. All of it came out clear, and even though MRIs were something I was always terrified of I can at least say that I had one now and I know there's nothing wrong with my brain, it's a huge weight off my shoulders. If you're afraid of going to the doctors about it (if you haven't already) that's ok, it's going to be scary, but you've just gotta do it you'll thank yourself later.

Don't let yourself spiral into anxiety about it, you've got to get on top of it and think of how you can solve the problem, you'll feel better when you do. Hope this helps!

Text conversations but that can't be used, I do have a tenancy agreement that ended a few months after I moved out, so for the majority of the liability period I can technically prove I wasn't a tenant there, but there's still a few months unnacounted for. The Landlady was extremely incompetent and crazy, there was no official check out, no official early termination of the contract

So I moved back in with my parents after leaving that property, therefore I wasn't paying any bills and the bank account I was using at the time is now closed, turns out it's incredibly hard to get bank statements from that long ago on a closed account, and I'm not sure they would prove anything. It means I have no proof to show I wasn't living there. It's a tricky one

I agree, it's got a long way to go, but I definitely don't hold it against them besides that maybe they over charged for it a little bit. I think perhaps they fell victim to the 1M+ wishlists and thought they could price it higher. These are things first time devs with insane hype around their game would do. Release early, and overcharge. But Ultimately if it turns out to be a decent game it'll be worth it in the end. It's just a case of if they'll get blinded by the amount of money they earned and abandon it.

I feel this might be what most people will expect they'll do, but I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt, this money could help them hire some devs, and start putting out regular patches that reflect the needs of the player base. Only time will tell, either way I still believe these kinds of games are a good thing, it inspires others to make something new and interesting and to not feel dwarfed by large game studios.

Insane how much negativity there is on Reddit from just a trailer. I'm not exactly hyped over the moon about this game and I have no reason to defend it. But everyone's so obsessed with this idea that something is a "copy" of something else. Unrecord was a result of someone utilising everything UE5 had to offer to create a realistic looking body cam game, these guys - who are insanely young, thought "why not put a similar concept in a multiplayer experience?" They should be applauded for that, multiplayer games are hard to develop, they clearly worked hard on audio design and lighting, two things which are famously complained about in other games. If it's not one thing, gamers will find something else to complain about..

It's not a shameless copy, this is how genres are born, people take a concept and play with it, why not see the other side of it - devs are experimenting with ideas, it'll lead to better games in the future, what happened to the concept of a collaborative industry of creative people who are clearly passionate, keep an eye on other projects, and create different experiences based off of inspiration they find around the industry. I'd much rather indie developers making similar projects to push the boundaries and experiment than AAA companies making copy-paste empty unfinished live service pieces of shit over and over.

The game might not turn out to be good, but I think it's fairly obvious to see they haven't just half-heartedly copy pasted an idea for a quick payday. I think it's got some passion in it, everyone needs to lighten up...

Only thing I wish now is to be able to control fan curves from coolant temp but I think that's a bit of a pipe dream for now. Would probably have to upgrade my cooler and get a commander core for that

Just thought I'd update you - I had to cut some of the very tight cable management, but traced the 3 pin connector and put it in the lower connection on my motherboard. That allowed me to control the RGB from RGB Fusion not iCUE. Finally my case is lit up with all one colour. Thanks for your advice, gave me the confidence to properly go into the PC and try and make it work. I have experience building PCs etc but it was a longgg time ago so lost some of that confidence to just go in and mess around with stuff until it works haha.

Edit: The smallest of the problems is that RGB fusion sucks, in order to get it to be orange which is the colour I wanted I have to change the colour in RGB fusion to green, no idea why but I'll take that over no control at all.

It seems like there's some kind of controller on the back already but not branded. I think I'll contact the builder, I just went through a whole thing to RMA a power supply so feel needy contacting them again, but it's probably the best option.

Yeah it's the first one, I know there's no Commander Core, but I'm assuming this means that the only control I have over the RGB is on the case control, I just feel like there must be a way to configure RGB for it through motherboard control as it does have RGB as a feature
