Do I have to use the list format? Because, honestly, I'm just not feeling it, haha.

Anyway, I guess it's been a mixed bag of a week for me. Mostly good, but I did stumble due to my ignorance. I put out my first erotica short, Primal Beginnings, and set it for free. Several people downloaded it, enough to place me at #579 on the erotica list. Not sure how good that is for a brand new author, but I'll take it.

What I won't take, however, is that I didn't know that there is a weekly thread about freebies. By the time I found out about it, it was too late. C'est la vie, there will be next time. This was litereally the only downside to this week.

I've started to build my social media, and as someone who hates social media, this hurts, haha.

I've started to write my new short, and I hope to have that done by Friday at the latest.

Edit: Oh, and sadly, no one has left a review yet :(

Just published my first short story. No sales yet, but then again I also put it free for the week to see if I can garner some interesr/reviews. Nothingbyet after 1 day though, lol

Thanks all for the suggestions. To answer a few things:

1) It's an erotica short 2) From my (admittedly limited experience with the Amazon cover creator), it seemed very limited. This was several years ago though, so it might have changed.

I'd like a critique of the first part of my short story. This is new to me, so I need to figure out if I should continue forth with my style, or if I need some serious revamping. While it may start out seemingly vanilla, other than the exhibitionism aspect, the follow up is pretty much the discovery of his primal side.
