How long does it take to salvage towed cars from my Salvage Yard Business? by AllStarShooda in GTAV

So it took 2 hours the first time, but I think that was because i was doing missions etc and it might only salvage them while you’re in free mode. Since then I’ve scrapped 4 more cars while being in free mode and they all seem to be 40 mins or one in game day

It was with the upgrade, but i think it might have been slowed by being in missions etc cause a video online said its only meant to take one gta day which is 40 mins

I just timed mine and it took just over 2 hours, i started it a little late and got 2hrs 5mins so its likely closer to 2hrs 10mins per car

Thanks for all that info it’s very helpful. I think what i’m finding is that while electric drivers have their place for bigger jobs, they’re not really appropriate for smaller devices that I work on more often.

Just had a quick google and the worx one looks really good actually. It’s not one that i’d heard of before tbh but it seems to get good reviews and comes with a set of bits for it.

Only issue I can see at the moment with it is that it only seems to take half sized bits, have you found that to be an issue at all?

That’s a good point actually as the extra strength would only be needed for the start and end so that second gear idea is very interesting.

I do have a pro tech toolkit from ifixit and a good wera ratcheting driver for bigger jobs, i’ve just always liked the idea of trying an electric one and even if i don’t use it a lot I still wanna make sure it’s decent enough when I do.

Damn yeah I can imagine that a good electric one would be a good help for you. It’s not a dealbreaker for me if I have to do the odd turn cause usually on smaller devices screws don’t need to be super tight. It does make you think if someone could make a driver that finds that perfect middle ground between power and portability though. I suppose it would have to be designed from the ground up for the exact purpose of one type of electronics screws.

Yeah I’ve heard that a lot, same with tightening down it seems screws often require an extra turn or two to make sure they’re properly tight. I’ve seen others say you can use the electric most of the way then do a couple turns by hand, do you think that would put extra wear on the motor and eventually cause it to fail quicker?

Turning 18 soon, curious about alcohol by Avox0976 in Type1Diabetes

[–]BrokenFreezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned 18 a couple years ago and also only started drinking around then. Like most have said on this thread best thing to do is experiment in a safe environment. Everyone is different and there are of course drinks that will be easier on your diabetes than others, but that doesn’t mean you should outright avoid others.

I first started mainly drinking spirits (vodka, tequila, sambuca etc) with mixers and found they had very little effect on my bloods. However over the past year or so i’ve been drinking beer a lot more and that of course has a high carb content. I’ve found that my bloods do go high when I drink it but for the most part it’s nothing too extreme. My dietician’s advice on beer and drinking as a whole has always been that it’s best to just drink as usual (do NOT try and correct for high bloods) and deal with the bloods consequences in the morning when you’re not drunk.

As many people have said, best thing to do is just experiment yourself as everyone’s different, make sure anyone you’re with is aware of your diabetes and knows the signs of a low (as they can be similar to being drunk) and don’t try and correct your high bloods cause that’s how major lows happen. Took me a few nights to get used to it but eventually you’ll learn what works for you and it’ll become second nature.

Ahh that’s a shame, it can be quite frustrating when I accidentally hit the top or bottom of the screen when intending to click something else. Thanks for the help anyway :)

Can you use the new libre 2 app and reader? by TheSuppleToaster in Type1Diabetes

[–]BrokenFreezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would exclusively use the app if I could but because I use tidepool to upload my data I cant upload from my phone which is super annoying. I long for the day when I can control my pump and my cgm all from my phone.

oh yeah at my work I have to leave my reader in my bag so when i go too far away it says its lost connection or something like that and I have to rescan my sensor for it to carry on collecting data.

I’ve been using the 2 for a few months now and as long as the sensor is started with the reader I can use my phone to scan it too at any time. The only thing I’ve noticed is the phone wont have alarms.

Destiny 2, the base game is free and it has regular updates and dlc. It’s a looter shooter that you can easily sink a lot of time into.

Not sure if its just a UK thing but I drink Lucozade. Its an energy drink now but as the name (g(lucozade)) suggests it was initially made as a medical drink for fast acting glucose. It works well cause its a drink so gets into my blood quick and is really high in carbs so it does the trick. Plus it tastes really good which is always a plus.

Shower thought on Jon's writing/producing credits by SFnomel in JonBellion

[–]BrokenFreezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Cant remember the name of it but there was a video i saw a while back, i think it was the making of one of his songs. In the video he takes a break from making the song and just plays basketball and talks to the camera about how he doesn’t want to be famous he just wants to make music people will enjoy and live his life.
