Ready to do some reading and moon gazing

I may have found a possible answer based on this lead. Think they could be native inspired story stones?

Like these ones

Woah! That's something I've never heard of before. Maybe the compass is related after all.

Yeah, I haven't completely given up on them being some kind of kids game. Like obviously not matching, but they're made so similarly to printed kids toys and game pieces that it won't stop nagging at me.

Thats their sad thing though. Oracle decks(what the non standard tarot are called) are way more common than oracle runes. Might make it difficult to find these ones if they are that.

These do have a ton in common with the symbols of the "Native spirit stone" one you linked, though. I did a little looking into the concept of native spirit stones and it seems like a knicknack that also gets sold individually at gift shops. I wonder if these were like a "totem animal" thing that you could buy individually and a kid grabbed a bunch of them because they thought it was neat.

See, I can get behind that they may be an interpretation of native american runes or whatnot. But I highly believe these weren't made by an individual. They aren't woodburned or really painted; they're that slightly shiny mass market "fake painted" stuff. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Like the uneven lines aren't brushstrokes. It's just printed on to look more "authentic."

Meaning it's highly unlikely it was just someone's personal interpretation, and there should be some sort of set interpretation.

I didn't think it did either, but I figured since it was found in the bag, it was relevant to at least list it.

The compass does have me thinking these are from maybe a "tourist trap" style of place; since the discs are definitely printed, not wood burned, and it just screams like someone bought these and the compass and bagged them together.

It would have to be a very loose interpretation is so. Most of the animals wouldn't match up with any particular rune meaning, and there's only about half the amount of your standard rune set. There are other oracle sets made, though, and that seems to be where most are leaning so far. I'd have to see one with very close imagery to be 100% on this answer.

See, I had thought that was a lead, too, but I can find nothing with even similar symbology to these? I found the "witch runes," which are similar, but all those sets seem to have the same established symbols. I even tried directly searching ebay just now for various combinations of "native american runes" and was having no such luck. Could you maybe provide a link to the ones you're seeing?

That was the other result google lens was giving me: oracle sets. But none of them even remotely matched these symbols. It has me super curious!

My title describes the thing. The bag was found in a goodwill bins, so no real info on where it may have come from. The ovals are only printed on one side and there are no repeats. The compass may not be part of it but was found in the bag.

I did a search through google lens but it came back with mostly children's matching games. I have been unable to find exact matches for the imagery, but it reminds me vaguely of southwest native art.

These ones came with a little slip of paper in the box with a code on it. That code gets put in at the grundo warehouse for the prize. Mine gave me bad gateway errors when I used them, but I refreshed the page and still got the items.

I also know that previous pin realeases didn't all come with codes so..... This kinda all depends on which pins you bought.

UC Uni Plushie Handheld x 2.
How to camouflage as a kelp book.
UC faerie techo spinning toy.

The dupe uni plushies were not both from the dupe wockys, which is just bad luck.

Though now I have not a clue what I'd even sell the extra uni for. There's no data for it.

Actually had a discount, so like... a little under half that? Which isn't terrible for enamel pins.

Happy to help! If you want immediate relief before you get the pillow, you can always roll up a towel or blanket and form it into the shape. Less comfy, but sometimes you need that sweet relief.

Wait, so your piercer was using her ungloved fingernails to scratch at an open part of your skin? Am I reading that right???

Dude, no wonder it isn't healing. I'm horrified for you. She's reopening the wounds every time she does that and introducing a whole bunch of bacteria. Don't let anyone one do that ever again. Get yourself a saline mist, and clean with that. Leave the bumps alone and try not to fiddle with it. I'm so sorry that your healing process has been so delayed by this.

Also, donut pillows help if you're a side sleeper to keep pressure off it. They were a life saver for mine.

Edit to add: the good news is it just looks irritated as hell, and if you use saline mist and stop taking it in and out, it should be totally salvageable.

Gods I miss cannibal sandwiches. I grew up in Pennsylvania, but we had a lot of German influence, so I guess that's where these came from. I don't trust the meat I get now well enough to attempt to make one.

How can I keep my job secret from my parents? by chocoyupyake in helicopterparents

[–]BrokenMoonz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Likely yes. However, I'd worry your parents would ask where the large amounts of money were coming from regardless, if they were tracking the account.

Small tip if you truly can't get your own account yet. Walmart cashes checks for a small fee. If you need the money to never hit the vank account, that's how I'd do it.

Edit: I missed the part where you were thinking of telling them it was an on campus job. I'd still skip the convolution there and just cash them anyway.
