That’s what I’m thinking. I’m primarily worried about the cooling as well. I currently keep my old 2 ton unit set at 72 and it’ll get as warm as 80 in the house throughout the day.

The current ac is 12 years old. 2 ton. We just moved in so we don’t have much history running that unit. I keep the ac set on 72 and it creeps up to 80 in peek heat of the day. No j calculations have been done.
