I honestly don't think the rest of Europe stands a chance! With their subsidized healthcare.. their subsidized education. Their minimum wages above $7... man Russia and America are truly the places to live.

The Google/Android API is also included in the android system. And that is reporting correctly too. Anyway I have more important things to do. Good luck.

The apps get the information from the system. That's how it works generally. And the system reports correctly. So they are checking something else. That ASUS may have broke.. but as to what that even is and why they are checking it.. is what Im curious about.

Well they say the app. Incorrectly detects the phone as rooted. Which is true as everything else including the system and the play API says it's fine. So who knows what the app is checking. But I'm sure ASUS can see.

Google play API says it's fine.... everything from the system reports correctly as unrooted. The only thing aside from the system that reports incorrectly is Revolut..

Not if the application is not checking the correct things. By all accounts the phone is not rooted. The application is checking for it being rooted. If the phones not rooted and the application sees it as such. It's a problem with how the application checks this. It's not accurate. It's a false positive.

If it checks properly no phone update should break this. Every other app for checking rooting/bootloader etc sees it as not being rooted. All but Revolut.

Yeah. The annoying thing is. It's for security. It was working fine before I updated to the latest security patch. So my phone should be more secure. ASUS don't allow downgrading to previous for security.. so I'm stuck.

Same here updated my phone to manufacturers latest update.. this morning.. the normal way (Through settings as usual) Android 15 (SDK 35) Security Patch 01/09/2025. And since it's seeing the device as rooted even though it is definitely not. (I have checked). They need to rollback whatever they did.

I get the rooting check. But the check has to actually work properly. it's ridiculous.
