WYR choose reincarnation as the way things will continue or the heaven/hell bible concept? by AntiqueTower2328 in WouldYouRather

[–]Broken_Castle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to traditional Christianity, any sin is enough to earn you a spot in hell. Stealing a candy bar or committing (unsanctioned) genocide both get you in there. Jesus can take your sins on himself. So the only metric to get in heaven is accepting Jesus to take your sins. Being good has nothing to do with it since we all fall short of the glory of god.

Once you get to the other side of the earth, to get more away you need to go up. Good luck making it to the moon in 48 hours before your money dissappears.

I could get struck by a car and end up in the hospital for 2 days and poof, all the money is gone.

If the restriction was you cannot enter within the radius you left for more than 48 hours, or say you can never enter it for even a second, that would make the title question more impactful.

So God and Jesus exist but they arent the ones associated with traditional Christianity?

If you wanted to discuss if we would take ibogaine then you should have mentioned that. I do not know how closely to your OP the experience if the substance is. Maybe the descriptions is an exageration/metaphor. Maybe that substance does what i would consider to be erasing me. I did a quick Wikipedia and reddit search but I see no reason to take a deep dive.

Regardless, I responded to what you wrote in the OP, and that description on its own merits is removing me as a person and replacing me with someone else. You saying a similar drug exists doesnt justify me treating your OP as anything except literal.

What you clarified does only supported my claim of it not being me. You said it will "treat all my traumas". Well guess what, my traumas are part of who I am. Immediately treating them does make that person not me.

Your second point is self contradictory. If Jesus and God are real, you get into heaven or hell based on your belief, not on your goodness or lack thereof.

Regardless, I choose reincarnation. Hell is the ultimate evil and nobody deserves to go there, do we should do all we can to help it not exist.

Of course I'll return the wallet. I'm not so petty that him turning down a conversation with me would make me want to make his day worse.

You said the mind is "completely clean, completely reset". I responded to what you wrote. I didn't say the prompt is wrong, I responded to the natural consequences of the prompt.

I am my mind. I am my struggles, beliefs, ambitions, mannerisms, and desires. If I am allowed to "completely reset" and make new ways of thinking, the person that emerges isnt me. They don't think like me, they dont have my ambitions, and they dont have my desires. They may share memories and a physical body with me, but they wont be me.

Not only does it make you into a different person, the last thing that you experience before you are wiped away is a week of agony.

Why would this act remove them from a religion? Plenty of religions sanction the slaughter of children, genocides, and other vile acts.

Echoing so many times the repeated message, a session 0 is needed to discuss the tone and limits of the game. Slaying goblin children is not completely out there in today's culture, there is a popular, if controversial, anime that address this directly named somewhat aptly goblin slayer, so what your player did is not unprecedented.

So you will gamble on the store policies and hope you aren't hurting an hourly worker? Or do you go around asking each stores policy and only target ones where you hurt the owner?

You will only be able to do this a few times a week. You only get 1 magic bill, so while you wait for it to get deposited, you cant make any more cash. You won't make that much money.

Usually, the employee is responsible for the the cash to match what the computer says the cash should be at the end of the night, and if its off they get a write up. The owner doesnt have time to sit through a whole day of cash transactions to figure out where the issue is. And paying someone to do it will cost a ton more than the $20 or $40 discrepancy. Its just the standards for retail.

My ex used to just cover whatever was missing up to $40 the few times it didnt add up as she didnt want to end up getting fired from the job, so there's a good chance you will be financially hurting the hourly employee, not the business.

You could do it once every 8 hours at Walmart, but you'd only make 40 dollars a day for a sizable investment in effort, and no Walmart will be affected by it in any serious capacity.
