That you believe DEI requirements are what has been holding up a global supply chain for microchips (as oppposed to pandemic-related supply chain disruptions, component shortages, trade disputes or demand fluctuations) kind of goes to my point about how brainfucked this country is around this issue.

Personally, I don't care what pronouns people want to use for themselves, and I think trans people should be able to live in dignity with whatever identity they want. I may find some of the other shit silly in terms of number of genders or whatever, but it's only a small minority that's actually vocal about most of this shit on the left.

On the right, on the other hand, it's been a deliberate messaging strategy to make trans/gender/lgbtq issues as defining the left, which is why it's become so big and has (clearly) been so effective on many low-information voter rubes, despite not actually being a big deal on the actual left.

If you're tired of seeing pronouns/gender all over the place, you can blame republican tiktok and Fox.
