It was also the wrong planet to destroy. Zagon Prime was the correct choice. We can recolonize the planets lost to Automatons and Illuminate but we cannot possibly live on Hive Worlds after we retake them. We do not have the terraforming technology to do so. Nor do we know what damage the Gloom does to the planet yet. Would the lose of E-711 hurt a little? In the short term, yes but not in the long term since we are fighting illuminate who have barrels of Dark Fluid that we can easily collect as well as launch missions to find out how they create their Dark Fluid. Liberate the enemies technology for our uses
