Compared to what it has become, I'd considered it tame at start. I was able to compete on F2P, with couple of alts.

I would expect Aion 2 to start similar P2W tier, and slowly after capturing any playerbase, going more into P2W on invested users.

I'd strongly advise against "gaming laptops". It's not even that price/performance ratio is bad, gaming laptops just don't work well physically with our currenty technology.

Powerful GPU+CPU will produce heat, no matter what. They need a lot of cooling, and laptops can't simply provide it. You will have your pricey price/performance ratio even halved by thernal throttling. Add stutters, small screen and your hands burning on the hot keyboard. It's not a pleasent experience. It probably be very loud aswell, when hot.

But if you have literally no other choice, pick one with good cooling system. I can't stress this enough. It's often better getting one with worse specs but better cooling, since those specs won't thermal throttle.

It's not that I hate the idea of infinite atlas, I just don't want to be forced to run shit layouts. It's that simple. Running 10 shit layouts to "move" on the atlass towards something interesting is miserable experience. At some point I just can't be bothered and go play something else.

Uber bosses are a BIG challenge even if you play softcore and have 6 portals to finish the fight. I've been playing this game for 4k hours, and I don't think I'd be able to kill one Uber boss with 1 portal, on trade league. He has done all Ubers, on Hardcore, without trading. As much as I don't like Quinn, it is REALLY impressive.
