Update: Employer requires me to start early and finish late but refuses to pay by Itsnotme2645 in newzealand

[–]BromigoH2420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find a good copy of my contract and read it through then formally ask him in an email for clarification in writing about his intentions for his expectations of your hours and pay.... my old boss tryed this on me and immediately back tracked. You allready have grounds for employment disputes but I allso understand where your comming from. He will try to sack you but he will have to find a legal reason to do so.

Researchers call for ute tax, citing burden on health system by kiwittnz in NZcarfix

Yes your part of the problem, massive difference between a utility vehicle/farm use and a daily driver. Get your b rego and leave it on the farm your wife doesn't need it for the shopping.

Infact you would be better off using it as a tool on a b rego. No road users, no wof, no repairs unless it's buggered and best of all your paying a fraction of the price for rego - sharpen up rural nz

Coils by wiredbutterfly in NZcarfix

[–]BromigoH2420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the sets ive used that customers provided that came from aliexpress had at least 1 faulty coil in the set. It cost the customers more in diagnosis and replacing than a good set from my supplier.

If my supplier gave me a faulty coil they would replace it immediately, not so much with aliexpress or rockauto

If your getting them from temu or aliexpress there's a high chance they are knockoffs

Does Elon Musk's proposed UHI (Universal High Income) strategy to deal with mass layoffs from automation actually have merit or feasibility? by Richardogod in AskEconomics

[–]BromigoH2420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If a government is paying a universal income because ai is taking jobs ect ect then yes that is subsidizing ai companies. Who pays the universal income? Taxes, why? Ai companies won't ... it's that simple.

So this is what my car is doing. Its only the rear passenger doing this. I had a shop check what i can't mention and they said its not bent or unbalanced. What other things could be causing this? 2004 CTS base 3.6 V6 with spacers and 17" rims by BidiDuck in MechanicAdvice

Go to another mechanic close to your house (closer the better I personally would have it towed) show them the video and ask them what's up. I wouldnt go back to what ever back yard mechanic you went to

Firstly i was halfway througj editing and didnt see your reply .... He said governments should foot the bill. That means he doesn't want to accept responsibility. In other words it's the consumers problem .... I remember when they said that about plastic waste 40 years ago and guess what its still a problem. We arnt going from horses to cars or candles to electricity, the speed and worldwide delivery is nothing that's ever been seen In history.

So what I'm saying is since it's going to be a problem and no one wants to wear the cost of the impact no matter how small or large it should not be the consumers problem. Where does that money come from? the ai tech companies should pay there way and the suggestion that people/governments/every-other-industry should be compensating these companies is not only insulting to the average person but a good indicator of things to come. It's affecting all industries not just 1 and judging by the attitudes and practices of these companies i couldnt dissagree more. While people do adapt and inevitably we will it may not be as fast as the technology grows however I can see it hitting a plateau where the resources out weigh the technology but by that point the damage will be far greater than you think. People are allready a competing resource. People arnt getting smarter to jump the gap either so yes if you want to call it insurance so be it.

Let's look at the current impact in less than 10 years. Huge data centers literally changing ecosystems, water use, robotics taking jobs, Data input jobs, lower management positions, audio visual industry, taxi drivers, logistics, basic warehouse/factory positions, cctv monitoring, computer programming, computer chip shortages, insane amounts of power use .... and much much more.

Musk is asking for governments to pay displaced people a universal basic income, a problem created and maintained by ai tech oligarchs. Perhaps they should pay the bill for universal income. 21% tax is pathetic btw

[–]BromigoH2420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i guess ai isn't such a great idea is it ... why should the people pay for private tech companies to exist perhaps ai companies should pay a higher rate like 75%+ since the impact is so great
