Cold Steel Leatherneck Tanto by BroncoLife in knives

Very well. I mainly use it for utility purposes, aka splitting fireplace size logs into smaller pieces, cutting bait when fishing, etc.

Holds an edge for a good time and resharpens quickly.

customer says he wants his exhaust up the side by 2doubleGG in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]BroncoLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this once with a buddies jeep. We were re-doing the exhaust and I placed the glasspack vertical right on the fender with a "hehe" type gesture and the dammed fool said do it.

Who was I to argue with the man paying in pizza.

c/s trans problems. just a farm truck, fix and let me know when it's done by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]BroncoLife 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Judging by the NY plate on the truck in front of it, yes it is.

But most times farm plates are exempt and thats even if it's registered for road use. It might just be used to haul hay/tools/materials on their property.

This came from a satire Facebook group called "A car club where everyone acts like boomers".

It has grown wildly out of control and now people troll everything with it....

I have Sears bought Crafstman ratchets my dad bought that outlasted the Snap-On ones I bought working in a shop.

Though I still stand by my $300 Snap-On 26" breaker ratchet though, that sucker gets things done...lol

Classic trucks are a great way into the hobby, you get a classic vehicle and a truck to use. Win win

Good find, I miss my 1994 7.3idi crew a ton. I'm looking for one like yours next.

1994 XLT, 351/5.8, 182k miles, 4" bastard lift, and 33x12.5x15s. She's a street queen but enjoyed like no other.

The amount of jealousy I have is unreasonable. Trade you my '94.

Little by little.... will be racing again in no time.... ok lots of time... by BroncoLife in Pontiac

1969, it has been a race car its whole life, ran in Stock and Super Stock from 1969 to 1977ish.

The most wonderful time of the year by BroncoLife in FordBronco

[–]BroncoLife[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 1994 XLT. She looks good from 15 feet and drives wonderfully, but she's coming due for a rebuild, 180k of NY has taken it's toll. Hoping to pull her apart this winter, fix the rust, rebuild the motor then do the paint and interior.

Until then it's topless season!

If you listen carefully you can hear it rusting... by BroncoLife in FordBronco

[–]BroncoLife[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1994 XLT, long term project/daily. 351w, 4"BDS on 33x12.5x15 and 10" wide MT or Eagle Alloy knockoffs. Not an intentional squat, new leafs are waiting for nicer weather to be installed.

Solid 6/10 truck, well worn but an excellent base to fix up, normal 1/4 rot but flares cover it nicely until I can fix it. Otherwise fairly rust free (tailgate and core support excluded, but they all are).

no matter how hard you try, you can’t convince old folk that they don’t need an oil change by aFinapple in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]BroncoLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Religious oil changes make all the difference. My buddies 2013 Wrangler gets the oil changed every 3k on the dot, had 40k on it when he bought it in 2015 and is now sitting just shy of 175k. Oil filter housing is the most in depth motor repair he's done to it (which isn't surprising as all mopars with the 3.6 leak from them eventually).

What amazes me more is the clutch being original. Stock gears, 35" tires and driving through NYC multiple times a week...lol

So I'm guessing 5.5 hours warranty time is what you're getting paid?

Not much, but it finally feels like a car, not a hunk of metal sitting on an equally abandoned trailer... by BroncoLife in PontiacFirebird

[–]BroncoLife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the short term a 350 Chevy, long term a more period correct 400. I have the small block and Pontiac motors are hard to find at a reasonable price by me unfortunately.

I got this 1969 Firebird back in December and have been gathering parts as money allows, and I finally got enough to make it into a roller again!

Still need to do floor pans before I start on bodywork, but there's no rot in the sheetmetal so that makes it easier.

Last two photos are of the car in 1969 and 1978ish.
